The town of Hamburg Department of Youth, Recreation and Senior Services is currently offering gifts for all ages.
“People can purchase gift certificates for the golf course, the fitness center, the senior fitness center, the ice arena or just general gift certificates that can be used as payment for our programs,” said Martin Denecke, director of the department.
Recreation programs are for individuals from toddler-age to adults and seniors.
Gift certificates from the Friendly Independent Restaurants of the South Towns Group, which will allow the bearer to get a portion off of a bill, are available at the adult day service. “Not only do these gift certificates make a nice gift anyone can use, but it is also a fundraiser for the adult day service,” Denecke said.
“For every certificate they sell, they are allowed to keep $3 for their participants council entertainment fund, for activities. The certificates can be redeemed at 19 local restaurants in Hamburg, Buffalo and Western New York.”
Participating restaurants include Black Thorn Pub and Scarlet on Virginia Street in Buffalo; Old Orchard Inn in East Aurora; Curly’s Grill and Banquet Center in Lackawanna; Danny’s South in Orchard Park; Tony Rome’s in West Seneca; Apple Dumplin’ and Julie’s Pizzeria in Springville and Buffalo Street Grill, Coyote Café, Dock at the Bay, Ilio DiPaolo’s, J&M’s West End Inn, J.P. Fitzgerald’s, McKenzie’s, Mason’s Grille 52, Rodney’s and Root 5 in Hamburg.
