Meet the candidates night in Hamburg

HAMBURG — The League of Women Voters of Buffalo-Niagara will sponsor its annual candidate forum at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24. The event will be held in the Union Auditorium of the Union Pleasant Elementary School, located at 150 Pleasant Ave. in Hamburg.

Invited participants include Erie County sheriff candidates Timothy Howard, Dick Dobson and Bert Dunn; Erie County comptroller candidates Stefan Mychajliw and Kevin Gaughan; Erie County Legislature candidates Lynne Dixon and Michael Schraft; Hamburg town supervisor candidates Steven Walters and Walter Rooth III; Hamburg council candidates Amy Ziegler, Michael Quinn, Cheryl Juda and Lawrence Speiser and Hamburg highway superintendent candidates Tom Best and Ted Casey.

Local residents may also attend. Questions for candidates may be submitted in written form, that evening. For more information, call 648-2946.
