During the month of May, the Kindergarten, First grade, and Second grade students at St. Mary of the Lake School were invited to join the community service club. The focus of the club was teach the students the value of doing things for others without expecting something in return. Throughout the month of May the students in the community service club participated in many service projects to learn the good that can come from serving others. The students picked up trash in the neighborhood around our school, we planted flowers and made cards for our parish neighbors, we made sun catchers for the Sisters at the Mother House, as we also baked cookies for the elderly at a nursing home.
