HAMBURG — The HEART Animal Rescue and Adoption Team has received the Fiserv Amherst Contact and Servicing Center Comes Together to Give Back Award.

Fiserv Inc. announced that lending solutions associates located in the Amherst contact and servicing center raised $12,000 to benefit Summit Educational Resources, Hospice Buffalo and HEART Animal Rescue & Adoption Team.

The funds were raised, during the center’s annual holiday auction, as well as by associates’ donations throughout the year. Charities were nominated by and voted on by employees. Donation proceeds were equally divided among the three charities.

According to Vice President of Operations, Lending Solutions Steve Bissett, the company has donated more than $95,000 to local charities through this annual event, during the past 11 years. “We are proud to see our collective passion for giving back make an impact on our community,” he said.

Donations were presented to the selected organizations at the Fiserv Amherst office on Feb. 5. Present to accept the donations were representatives from each organization.

This year marks the HEART Animal Rescue & Adoption Team’s 30th year in the Western New York community. HEART is an all-volunteer, non-profit, no-kill organization.

The local HEART adoption center is located at 48 Buffalo St. in Hamburg. For more information, visit www.heartforanimals.org.
