HAMBURG — Residents from The McGuire Group’s Autumn View Health Care Facility in Hamburg assembled goodie bags as a community project for the children at Women’s and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo.
Each bag contained a fleece blanket and themed cups, such as Sponge Bob, Spiderman, Dora or Rapunzel.
The goodie bags were filled with bracelets, stickers, candy, handheld games, coloring sheets and a variety of other items.
Each bag was also accompanied by a card made by a resident.
Thanks to help and donations from Autumn View’s family members and employees, the residents created 35 bags for the children.
Autumn View Health Care Facility provides 24-hour nursing care, post-hospital and outpatient rehabilitation and respite/short-term care.
The facility received five stars out of five from the federal government, which rates all nursing homes in the country.
