This year’s recipient of the annual Matthew J. Reynolds Memorial Scholarship at Erie Community College is Gianna Batt of Orchard Park.
Batt is a history major and will graduate this spring from ECC and transfer to Canisius College. She received strong recommendations from many of her professors and ECC administrators for this award.
To be eligible for the Matthew J. Reynolds Memorial Fund Scholarship, candidates must be full time students at ECC and matriculated in liberal arts, humanities, general studies, or business. The candidate must be transferring to a bachelor degree program in either the SUNY system or approved college.
The Reynolds family would like to thank all of the friends, family and neighbors of the late Matthew J. Reynolds that donated money and HSBC Bank for their most generous contribution for the eighth year in a row.
The family is also thankful for the assistance of Jeff Bagel and his staff at the ECC Foundation, the ECC Foundation Board members and ECC President Jack Quinn for promoting Matthew’s scholarship.
If anyone would like to make a future contribution, one can do so either through the ECC Foundation website at https://www.ecc-foundation.com/donation and designate it to “Matthew J. Reynolds Memorial Scholarship Award,” or make a check payable to the “ECC Foundation, Inc - Matthew J. Reynolds Memorial Scholarship Award,” and mail it to: Erie Community College Foundation, Inc, City Campus, Rooms110, 121 Ellicott St., Buffalo, NY 14203.
