Respect Life Essay Contest winners

In January, the Respect Life Committee of Blessed John Paul II Parish held its first “Respect Life Essay Contest, open to all parish young people in grades eight through twelfth.
Emily Hale a sophomore at Lakeshore High School, and a graduate of Southtowns Catholic School was awarded first place, which included a $100 McKinley Mall gift card. Elliott Di Christopher, an eighth grader at Southtowns Catholic School was awarded second place and a $50 McKinley Mall gift card. Honorable Mention certificates were awarded to: Matthew Argy, Brad Darvill, Evan Herman, Claire Koessler, Evan Mangan, Nick Ralph, Molly Skalski, Hunter Skoczylas, and Eli Tremblay, all current eighth graders at SCS; Sarah Fiorello, eighth grader at Frontier Middle School, Katie Bojdak eighth grader at Frontier Middle School and Natalie Pietro, eighth grader at Eden Jr./Sr. High School.
