HAMBURG — “Foot Patrol,” a group of approximately 15 walkers who are organized through the town of Hamburg Senior Services Department, is recruiting new individuals to join in preparing for a new season of outings that will take place throughout Western New York, from April – October.
The group has been meeting for more than 11 years on the mornings of the first, third and fifth Fridays of each month, at a selected location.
The participants start out together, but may walk at their own pace and meet afterward for lunch together, following each session of approximately 90 minutes.
Current members are from Hamburg, Orchard Park and West Seneca. Walkers drive their own cars or carpool to the site; the meetings will begin on April 4 and end on Oct. 17.
Interested seniors may call Hamburg Senior Services at 646-0665 or visit the Senior Center at 4150 Sowles Road, Building H, to sign up, beginning the last week of March.
Hamburg Senior Services is a branch of the town of Hamburg Department of Youth, Recreation and Senior Services.
