HAMBURG — Buffalo-based firm Masiello, Martucci, Calabrese and Associates announced the promotion of Patricia Paul to the position of vice president. Paul works in the energy industry.
“In her 16 years in government relations work in Albany, Pattie has developed a keen awareness of how to navigate the halls of the State Legislature,” said Anthony Masiello, president of MMCA. “She is very astute and, using her experience, knowledge and strong relationships, she has the ability to get things done quickly for our clients.”
“I am appreciative of the confidence that MMCA has shown in me and look forward to continued growth and success with the firm, as I continue to work with and serve our clients,” Paul said.
Prior to joining MMCA in February 2011, Paul worked as manager of government affairs for National Fuel Gas in Buffalo, where she was responsible for developing, managing and advocating that company’s position and its businesses before the New York State Legislature, as well as developing written and verbal communication tools to convey NFG’s concerns and priorities to elected officials.
Her lobbying efforts included the Empire Pipeline Project, gas curtailment issues, on-bill financing and several other energy-related issues.
Paul serves on a number of boards, including the Hamburg Land Development Corporation and the Hamburg Industrial Development Agency Board. Her professional affiliations include the Council of State Governments, the National Conference of State Legislators, the New York State Economic Development Council and the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee.
In 2010, the Hamburg Domestic Violence Citizen’s Advisory Board presented Paul with its President’s Award. In 2008, Business First of Buffalo gave Paul its Women of Influence in Government and Public Policy Award and the Niagara USA Chamber presented Paul with its President’s Award, in 2007.
