Ilio DiPaolo’s to host celebrity chef event

BLASDELL — Ilio DiPaolo’s will be hosting its annual “Celebrity Chef’s Culinary Extravaganza” at 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21 at the restaurant, located at 3875 South Park Ave. in Blasdell.
This year’s event will feature wines from Michael Mondavi’s Folio Fine Wine Partners, as well as a nine-course meal prepared by Chef Michael DiPaolo, Chef Dan Buckley and Chef Jackie Bamrick.
Bamrick has worked in the hospitality industry since 1996 and is currently an instructor in Erie Community College’s hospitality management department.
She began her career at Transit Valley Country Club, then went on to the Buffalo Club, the Garret Club, Wegmans and local restaurants.
Bamrick was awarded with a silver medal from the International Food Service Executives Council in 2003, and was selected as the 2009 chef of the year by the Greater Buffalo American Culinary Federation Chapter.
“The Annual Ilio DiPaolo Celebrity Chef Extravaganza is one of the culinary highlights of the year in Western New York,” President of the Ilio DiPaolo Scholarship Fund President Bud Carpenter said.
Also on hand will be Kerry Guilfoyle, northeast manager of Folio Wine Partners.
The evening will also include entertainment by Frank Reino and a silent auction, featuring sports memorabilia as well as golf, overnight and dining packages.
Tables of eight or 10 may be reserved, as well as single tickets. Proceeds will benefit The Ilio DiPaolo Scholarship Fund.
