Announcing Zonta Club scholarships

HAMBURG — The Zonta Club of Hamburg-Orchard Park is offering scholarships to local high school seniors who are pursuing college degrees.
According to the club, the Zonta International Young Women in Public Affairs Scholarship, worth $1,000, is “designed to encourage women to pursue decision-making positions in their communities, in order to impact the policies that affect the lives of women locally and throughout the world.” High school seniors who are residents of Hamburg and Orchard Park are eligible. The deadline for this award is March 21.
Female students attending Hamburg, Frontier and Orchard Park high schools, Mount Mercy Academy and Immaculata Academy are eligible for $500 Zonta Club of Hamburg-Orchard Park High School scholarships.
The Zonta adult $1,000 scholarships are available for women age 25 and older who are desiring to pursue their educations.
Applications for all awards may be obtained by visiting local high schools and Southtowns colleges, or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. The reported deadline for applications is April 25.
