HAMBURG — The brand-new Wanakah Wines & Liquor officially opened on Sept. 21.
The business is now located at 4931 Lakeshore Road in Hamburg, next to 7-Eleven, which was formerly Wilson Farms.
Wanakah Wines & Liquor has a large selection of wines and spirits to choose from and, according to owner Lisa Vidal, if “we don’t have what you’re looking for, we will have it on the shelf in only a few days.”
Vidal said that the opening of this business provided a “convenient, friendly place to purchase all of your wine and liquor supplies” and also created several new jobs in the community.
The local resident said that she is excited to be part of a new addition to the Wanakah/Lakeshore business community. She said that, during her first month in business, she has had more than 3,000 customers and “almost everyone that walks through the door thanks her for opening Wanakah Wines & Liquor and filling a storefront that has been vacant for more than five years.”
The business owner said that it is “a great feeling to have customers’ thanking me for investing in our community.”
Vidal attributed her success, in part, to her husband Joe, Marlene Gonzalaze of First Niagara Bank, Attorney Joe Shaw, Ted Overdorf, Hamburg Town Supervisor Steven Walters and other members of the community.
