Main Street Ice Cream celebrates five years

Main Street Ice Cream installed itself on Main Street five years ago, and
HAMBURG — Main Street Ice Cream is throwing a party for its five-year anniversary on May 31. Turkey Hill is sending out a cow to help celebrate, and there will also be ice cream specials and anniversary T-shirts for sale.

From 9 a.m. noon, guests can dig into a homemade belgium waffle with toppings and ice cream, before embarking on a horse-drawn wagon ride around the village. Presale tickets only.

The giant Turkey Hill cow arrives at 1 p.m., and from 1-2 p.m., there will be a sidewalk chalk art contest. Bring your own chalk.

From 3-5 p.m., check out Terri-Okie balloon fun, with music by Mr. Trombone guy. From 4-5 p.m., Mr. Moo Cow will arrive. At 4:30, kids can do the “Happy” song dance with him, for prizes.

From 5:30-6:30 p.m., there will be a Kanjam frisbee competition and at 6:30, Aaron Smith from Empire State Band takes the stage, until 8:30. From 7-9 p.m., guests can take a chance on the prize wheel.
