Angola Park Concert
On Wednesday, July 24 Angola Park and Gazebo Committee Summer Lawn Chair concert series will have a show from 7 to 9 p.m.
23 Skidoo with Jayd Mollnar on trumpet will be performing a concert of oldies and New Orleans music. This event is sponsored by Friends of the Village.
Refreshments and handicap parking are available. In case of rain, the concert will be relocated to The New Angola Theater on North Main Street.
Blasdell Summer Park Concert
Disco Duck will be performing at the Blasdell Summer Concert Series on Wednesday, July 24. The show begins at 6:30 p.m., is open to the public and free admission.
It is located at the JFK Playground, 2 Grafton Ave.
Faith United and Good Shepherd Church summer schedule
Combined summer worship services for Faith United Church of Christ in Boston and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church will be held at 9:30 in July and August.
Services will be held at Faith Church on July 7, 14, and 21. Services will be held at Good Shepherd on August 4, 11, 18, and 25. An interdenominational community wide service will be held on July 28 at the Boston Lions’ Shelter. Members from both congregations, as well as friends, are welcomed at these joint services.

Boston Community Worship Service
An interdenominational worship service will be held on Sunday, July 28 at the Boston Lions’ Shelter locates behind the Boston Town Hall.
The service will take place at 10 a.m. and all community members and friends are welcome.
The Rev. Loren McGrail, a missionary from Palestine, will be the guest preacher at this service. Communion will be offered.

Griefshare will begin a new session on Aug. 15 every Thursday night from 7 p.m. to 8:30 at the Faith United Church of Christ in Boston.
Griefshare is a program for family members and friends that have lost a loved one. Everyone is welcome.

Boston Park Summer Concert
NY Rockin Review will be performing at the Boston Summer Concert Series on Tuesday, July 23.
Each concert of the series will take place on Tuesday evenings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Admission is free and all ages are welcome. Bring a lawn chair and friends.
The concerts will be held at the Lion Shelter in Boston Town Park. The events will happen rain or shine; in case of rain, the concerts will be held at the Town of Boston Community Room.
Vacation Bible School
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church will hold a vacation bible school from July 22 to July 26.
This year’s theme is Sonwest Roundup. The school is appropriate for ages three up to grade 7. It will be held each day during that week from 9 a.m. to noon. Activities include Bible stories, skits, worship, singing, recreation, crafts and refreshments.

Eden Summer Concert
South City will be performing a folk rock concert at the front steps of Eden Elementary School on Tuesday, July 23 at 7 p.m. for the Eden Town Concert series.
Each concert in the series will take place from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. on Tuesday evenings during July and August. Admission is free and all ages are welcome. The concerts will be held on the front grounds of the school (Rt. 62 in Eden). In case of rain, the concerts will move inside the auditorium.
There will be a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 20 at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Hamburg.
The sale will include clothes, housewares, books, toys, and furniture. Proceeds will mainly be used for religious education, social justice and ministerial services.
The church is located on the corner of Union and Center streets.
House and Garden Club picnic
The Hamburg House and Garden Club will be holding their annual picnic at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23 at the home of President Carolyn Sheehy on Sisson Highway, Langford.
Members will participate in a mini flower show as well as place setting display using the theme “Christmas in July.”

Class of 88’ reunion
Hamburg High School class of 1988 will hold their 25 year reunion from 7 - 11 p.m. on Friday, July 19 at the Brierwood Country Club in the Pavilion.
There will be a cash bar.

Hamburg Summer Concert
Tom Stahl & The Dangerfields will be performing at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24 for the Hamburg summer concert series.
Each concert will take place on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. for the remainder of the summer. Admission is free and all ages are welcome.
The concerts will be held at Memorial Park, intersection of Lake and Union Streets. The events will happen rain or shine; in case of rain, the concerts will be held in the Union Pleasant Elementary School auditorium.
Car wash and can drive
Treemor Frontier Girl Scouts will be having a car wash and bottle/can drive from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, July 20 at the Meridia Community Credit Union.
For the car wash, cars are $5 and vans/SUVs are $7
The credit union is located at 4500 Southwestern Blvd.

Scranton Ladies Auxiliary
The Scranton Ladies Auxiliary will hold a Chicken BBQ and theme basket raffle from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 21 at the Scranton Fire Hall.
It is $8.50 at the door and either eat-in or take-out.

Woodlawn Beach Summer Concert
The Woodlawn Beach Concert Series at Woody’s Beach Club and Taquería has concerts scheduled for this weekend. The shows begin at 6:30 p.m.

Lynn Jay will offer art classes during July and August.
From 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. she will offer watercolor classes for adults on Thursdays July 11, July 18, Aug. 1, and Aug. 29. Students may select any 5 classes for a $50 fee, adding additional classes as they wish.
A step-by-step learning process will allow student to learn from basics in a hands-on approach; covering shading, laying a wash, and texture.
Pen and ink drawing classes will take place from 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Wednesdays from July 10 through Aug. 28. Students may select any six classes for $60 adding more classes as they wish.

Quaker Days 2013 of Orchard Park commences this upcoming week with activities each day from Sunday, July 21 to Sunday, July 28.
On Sunday, July 21 at 9 p.m. at Chestnut Ridge park there will be a free outdoor showing of “The Goonies.”
On Monday, July 22 at 7 p.m. at Chestnut Ridge Park there will be a Casino Mural Restoration Open House.
The Knewz Polka Band will perform a Pavilion Concert at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23 at the Quaker Arts Pavilion.
From 6 to 10 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24 the Taste of Orchard Park will take place at the intersection of 20A and North Buffalo Street.
On Thursday, July 25 The Boston Town Band will perform a concert at 7 p.m. at the Quaker Arts Pavilion.
