Angola Park Concert
On Wednesday, July 3 Angola Park and Gazebo Committee Summer Lawn Chair concert series will have a show from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Caribbean Extravaganza will be performing a Calypso, Reggae and Island music concert, This event is sponsored by Flex-O-Vit USA, Inc.
Refreshments and handicap parking are available. In case of rain, the concert will be relocated to The New Angola Theater on North Main Street.
Blasdell Summer Park Concert
Urban Renewal will be performing at the Blasdell Summer Concert Series on Wednesday, July 10. The show begins at 6:30 p.m., is open to the public and free admission.
It is located at the JFK Playground, 2 Grafton Ave.
Classic Car Cruise
Emerling Chevrolet and Kingfish Services will be having a Classic Car Cruise from 4 - 9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3.
Dash plaques will be given for the first 200 cars. Boston Cub Scouts Pack 391 will host a Pinebox Derby. Music will be provided by Don’s Musical Memories and from 6 - 8 p.m. there will be a special appearance by Elvis Terry Buchwald. Boston Boy Scout Troup 491 will be serving hot dogs, burgers and soda. Also, a 50/50 raffle will be held by the Springville Boys & Girls Club.
Non-perishable food items will be collected for the WNY Food Bank.

Pond Fish Stocking Program
Landowners looking to restock their warm/cool water ponds can place orders for large mouth bass and/or fathead minnows from now until Friday, July 5 through the Erie County Soil and Water Conservation District.
Distribution is scheduled for Saturday, July 13 at the District office in East Aurora.

Eden Summer Concert
The Billy McEwen Band will be performing a blues concert at the front steps of Eden Elementary School on Tuesday, July 2 at 7 p.m. for the Eden Town Concert series.
Each concert in the series will take place from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. on Tuesday evenings during July and August. Admission is free and all ages are welcome. The concerts will be held on the front grounds of the school (Rt. 62 in Eden). In case of rain, the concerts will move inside the auditorium.

WNY BBQ Fest
The WNY BBQ Fest and music festival will take place this weekend from Friday, June 28 to Sunday, June 30 at The Fairgrounds of Hamburg.
Presented by Patchin Fire Co. of Boston, this festival is a barbecue competition sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society and the New England Barbecue Society.
There will be further food vendors, music, rides and a classic car show.
Hit N Run, Buffalo’s acclaimed premier party band, Friday, June 28. On Saturday, June 29 there will be multiple performances from Black Widow, 2Leftboots, PassionWorks, and West of the Mark. The final day of the festival there will be two performances: Dave Viterna, and Mick Hayes.
For those who want to take advantage and indulge in a Hamburg getaway, there are optional RV spots available for $25 per night; sewer, water, electric and shower facilities are available.
There will also be a classic car cruise from noon - 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 30. It is open to all makes and models.
It is $5 admission (free for 12 and under) and free parking all weekend. Saturday, June 29 there will be a “Taste of BBQ” event; competitors will have their barbecue to sample. Each sample is one ticket; 10 tickets can be purchased for $20.

The Woodlawn Beach Concert Series at Woody’s Beach Club and Taquería has concerts scheduled for this weekend. The shows begin at 6:30 p.m.

Travel Club meeting
On Monday, July 1 at 6:30 p.m. the Travel Club will be holding a meeting at the Hamburg Senior Center.
They are opening a trip to Pittsburgh, PA from July 26-27. Summer and fall day trips will be planned.

St. Francis of Assisi Chiavetta’s dinner
St. Francis of Assisi will be holding their annual Chiavetta’s Chicken dinner from noon - 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 7.
The meal includes 1/2 chicken, roll, salad, soda and a homemade dessert. For the children, hot dog meals will be available for $3. There will also be activities including face painting and Punkin the Clown.
There will be a huge theme basket raffle and a raffle for two handmade stain glass lamps by Fr. Innocent.
Annual Garden Walk
The Buzz Around Hamburg 9th Annual Garden Walk will take place anytime between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 13 and Sunday, July 14 at the Memorial Park bandstand.
The walk will present and reflect the labors and creativity of their owners. Maps for the self-guided tour will be available. Coupons for village restaurants and businesses will be included in the brochure. There will also be a Vendor Fair. All participating gardens will be marked with the “garden participant” sign.
The event is free and open to all. It will happen rain or shine.
The Memorial Park bandstand is located at the corner of Lake Street and Union Street.
St. James UCC dance recital
St. James United Church of Christ will present “American Dances” dance recital at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 30.
The recital will feature dance-inspired music from North and South America by various composers. Ted Smeltz and Candice Kraus will be performing on violin and piano. Mr. Smeltz performs with the Presto String Quartet, WNY Chamber Orchestra, Erie Chamber Orchestra and is a music teacher at St. Joseph University. Kraus is a Cantor and pianist at Holy Family Catholic Church in Parma, Ohio and is an accompanist and vocal coach at several Cleveland schools.
The concert is free and open to the public. Parking is available behind the church.
St. James UCC is located at 76 Main St., Hamburg.
Lynn Jay, award-winning local artist, will offer art classes during July and August.
From 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. she will offer watercolor classes for adults on Thursdays July 11, July 18, Aug. 1, and Aug. 29. Students may select any 5 classes for a $50 fee, adding additional classes as they wish.
A step-by-step learning process will allow student to learn from basics in a hands-on approach; covering shading, laying a wash, and texture.
Pen and ink drawing classes will take place from 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Wednesdays from July 10 through Aug. 28. Students may select any six classes for $60 adding more classes as they wish.

VIP Winery Tour
Ten Thousand Vines will be having a special winery tour on Thursday, June 27 at 6 p.m. The tour will be led by their wine maker and will show a tour of their wine making facilities. A wine tasting will follow. Reservations are required.
