Mr. and Mrs. Richard and Beverley Smolinski
LANGFORD — Mr. and Mrs. Richard and Beverley (nee Prusak) Smolinski of Langford celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 20 with a Mass at the Epiphany of Our Lord Parish Community Church in Langford, which included the presentation of a papal blessing by Father Peter Karalus.
A reception for family members and friends followed, in the parish hall.
Attendees from the original wedding party included Robert Hauth, Eugene Smolinski, Anthony Weiss, David Smolinski, Donna Wolfe, Patricia Bourgoine, Elaine Knisely, Sally Glow and Deborah Hopkins.
The Rev. Alfred Mosak married the couple on Aug. 31, 1963 at the former Saint Martin’s Church of Langford.
The Smolinskis are the parents of Karen Drost and Donna Jackson, and the grandparents of Erika Lee and Jacob Richard.
Richard Smolinski is a retired supervisor from the New York State Department of Transportation – bridge maintenance. He is a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Parish and the North Collins Legion Post No. 1640.
His wife is a retired Allstate agent from Hamburg and is a member of the church parish and a volunteer for the American Cancer Society.
