HAMBURG — Immaculata Academy faculty, staff members, students and guests kicked off the academy’s 85th anniversary school year with Bishop Richard Malone.
A Mass, celebrated by Malone, along with Campus Minister Deacon Robb Ciezki and visiting Deacon Dennis Conroy, was held in the school auditorium, followed by a reception and campus tour, on the first day of school.
“We are grateful to Bishop Malone for joining us as we celebrate Immaculata Academy’s 85th anniversary,” said Sister Paulette Tirone of Franciscan Sisters of Saint Joseph, president of Immaculata Academy.
“The board of trustees, administration, faculty and staff are proud to have offered a Franciscan, Catholic education to thousands of young women over these 85 years and are excited to carry on Immaculata’s mission into the future,” Tirone added.
