HAMBURG Hamburg resident Robert Free was recently appointed by Erie County Executive Mark Polancarz to the Erie County Board of Health, to serve a six-year term.
He also holds a position on the Local Food Policy Council of Buffalo and Erie County.
Free is the director of foodservice operations for the Buffalo Bisons. He is the past president of the Western New York chapter of the New York State Restaurant Association and now serves on the state board of the NYSRA.
He is also a founding director and board member of the Buffalo Niagara Brewers Association.
In addition, Free also sits on the advisory council of Access Buffalo as a hospitality liaison.
The new Erie County Board of Health member lives in Hamburg with his wife Tracey and their two children, Thomas and Carol Ann.
