The Sun letter to the editor: Stop and listen to the words of the Christmas music

It is the Christmas season and, on the radio and TV, we hear music and see programs about Christmas.

I hear a lot of people complaining about it starting so early. But, when you think about it, what message does all that music and the stories say to us?

It is all about happiness, love, caring, giving, laughter; families’ getting together and sharing and happy endings.

This is what God wants us to live like and be like. A simple way of life, taking care of each other.

The alternative to this wonderful life is anger, hate, violence, condemnation of each other, selfishness and greed, and a way of life that does not leave us much hope.

We see it, every day, on the news and in the papers, and hear it on the media and in the music and videos.

Nothing has a happy ending, anymore.

So maybe we should listen to the message of the Christmas music and the stories and take a look at the life we have been creating for ourselves, and try to practice the good things these messages share with us, this season, and practice them, all year around.

As far as I am concerned, they should play Christmas music all year, just to remind us of what it could be like, if we tried.

Merry Christmas to all, and God bless everyone!
