Are you thinking about ordering a pizza? Next time you are, here is something to consider.
According to students and staff at Hamburg High School, Bella Pizza is home to the best pizza in Hamburg. On Wednesday, Dec. 18th, the Students for Humanity club at Hamburg High School hosted a “Best Pizza in Hamburg contest.” Participants in the contest purchased a $5 ticket, received pizza from six local pizzerias and blindly voted for who they thought had the tastiest slice.
The Now Pizzeria, Nino’s, Edies, Bella Pizza, John and Mary’s and Koz’s Pizza Alley all participated and generously donated two sheet pizzas, in order to determine who has the best in the ‘Burg, and to support the club.
Bella Pizza came in first, defeating previous winner Edies, who came in a close second.
The Students for Humanity Club focuses on volunteering and fundraising for various nonprofit organizations, as well as promoting kindness throughout the community.
All of the money raised from the “Best Pizza in Hamburg Contest” will be donated to a charitable organization. A sincere thank you to all who participated. Hopefully we will see you next year!
