Police looking for driver at hit-and-run accident in North Collins

The Erie County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for their help regarding a traffic accident that occurred on March, 4 at approximately 2:20 in the afternoon on Jennings Road, north of Shirley in the Town of North Collins, where a county highway worker was struck while directing traffic at a maintenance site. The worker was treated and released with an elbow injury.



The vehicle that struck the victim is described as a late model black Saturn Vue and was occupied by a white unshaven male in his mid- 40s, wearing glasses. This vehicle was being followed by a black late model Escalade pickup. Both vehicles appeared to be traveling in concert.



The pickup truck was being driven by a white female operator with blonde hair in her mid-40s with a front seat white male passenger who was also in his mid-4s. An oval sticker was displayed on the passenger side of the rear window with a triple diamond symbol.
