Springtime in the Country Artisan Market blooms in its 20th year

HAMBURG — Springtime in the Country, which will be celebrating 20 years of fine art and artisans, will return to The Fairgrounds Event Center in Hamburg Friday – Sunday, March 28 – 30.

The event, sponsored by Metro Group Inc., has grown during the past two years, setting attendance records for patrons and participating vendors. The event has added more than 30 new artisans and will feature a complimentary return pass, which will allow patrons to return for free, all weekend long.

Ranked once again as one of the top 25 events in the nation, this year’s edition of Springtime in the Country will welcome 200 artisans from across North America, featuring products including garden art, metal works, women’s fashion, original wall art, custom furniture, designer jewelry, home décor, bath and beauty products, gourmet foods, children’s toys, pottery and more.

“This market gets better every year, thanks to the new artisans participating, but also our patrons, who see the quality and value of the products here,” said Daniel Kaczynski of Premier Promotions.

Springtime in the Country Artisan Market will feature artisans from 16 different states and include many who have never before exhibited in Western New York, including Lisa Boesch from Millford, Mich. (women’s fashion); Michelle Clouser from Milton, Del. (wine bottle candles); Tye Gardner from Marshfield, Wis. (artisanal cheeses and meats); Mary Demarco from Baltimore, Md. (hand-sculpted pewter accessories) and Lisa Davis from Fulton, N.Y. (flower wall art).

The event will be held at The Fairgrounds from 4 – 9 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday. There is an admission charge for attendees older than 12; tickets will include complimentary return passes, available at the event’s information booth. Parking is free.

Discount tickets for Springtime in the Country are available through Thursday, March 27 and may be purchased at the event center office (open from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday), the Hamburg PennySaver and Sun, the Angola PennySaver, the Derby PennySaver, A Village Locksmith in Derby, the Eden PennySaver, Elizabeth’s Gourmet Coffee & Tea Shoppe in Hamburg and the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce.
