HAMBURG — Hamburg resident Kevin Wicka has been elected to and installed as the newest member of the Community Services for the Developmentally Disabled Board of Directors.
Wicka is currently employed with the Tarantino Law Firm as a litigator, practicing in the areas of employment law and personal injury. He brings almost 20 years of experience in employment law to the board.
He is a past chair of the Labor Law Committee for the Bar Association of Erie County and lectured for the New York State Bar Association and the Erie Institute of Law.
He has successfully tried to verdict cases in New York state courts and recovered awards in arbitration matters. In addition, he has handled appeals in both New York state and federal courts.
Wicka has experience in the areas of discrimination legislation and employee matters.
Community Services for the Developmentally Disabled Inc. is a local nonprofit agency that serves more than 1,500 Western New Yorkers with developmental disabilities.
The agency provides a variety of programs for people with developmental disabilities, including service coordination, habilitation and respite services and housing and shelter services.
The organization has several group homes in the Hamburg area, including on Bayview Road, Lake Avenue in Blasdell and in Angola on Southwestern Boulevard.
