HAMBURG — Immaculata Academy in Hamburg went Blue4Ben on April 1.

Ben Sauer, a 4-year-old Clarence boy, has been diagnosed with a rare brain tumor. He has been dressed in blue since he was very small, to distinguish him from his twin, Jack.

The Character Club sponsored the event and students, faculty and staff members could make a monetary donation or to donate a children’s book, in return for a dress down day.

The proceeds from the event will be given to the Sauer family, with a portion sent to Roswell Park. The book donations will be delivered to the Roswell Park Pediatric Unit.

For more information about the Blue4Ben endeavor, visit www.blue4ben.com.

More than $200 was raised, along with a large box full of books.
