BNAC schedules second Charles Burchfield presentation

Due to popular demand, the Burchfield Nature and Art Center will offer a second opportunity to learn about the works and life of Charles E. Burchfield. The presentation will take place 2 p.m. Saturday, June 1 at the BNAC, 2001 Union Road in West Seneca.

The same program, offered Sunday, April 28, was filled to capacity with an audience eager to take in the visual presentation on Burchfield’s renowned painting style and the community he enjoyed while living for forty years in Gardenville.

The program included a display of documents accumulated by Burchfield Penney docent Nancy Tomchuck Barlow as she researched Burchfield’s life. Many attendees lived in the community and remembered Burchfield.

Visuals of Burchfield’s watercolors will again be shown by art educator Jean Serusa to demonstrate his reason and method for the development of his personal style that very quickly became internationally acclaimed.

Because many who called to reserve seats could not be accommodated for the original program, reservations are required for the June 1 presentation. To reserve a seat or for more information, call 677-4843.
