Blasdell man charged with vehicular manslaughter in Keim death

Bradley Maloney, of the Village of Blasdell, has been charged with second-degree vehicular manslaughter and two counts of driving while intoxicated in connection with the Jan. 28 fatal car accident that left Angela M. Keim, 14 of Hamburg dead and injured a 13-year-old Hamburg girl, who still is listed in critical condition at Women and Children's Hospital, Erie County Sheriff's Office officials said on Friday, Feb. 10.
According to officials,the accident occurred at about 4:20 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28, when a 2001 Ford Mustang convertible left Versailles Plank Road and went down an embankment.
The vehicle was being driven by Maloney and had four other teen passengers in it when it left the roadway.
According to officials, Keim and the 13-year-old victim were sitting in the back seat of the vehicle and were both ejected from the vehicle. Keim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Maloney fully cooperated with police at the scene of the accident and a toxicology report from a sample of Maloney's blood was recently returned to police, revealing a .10 blood alcohol content.
After conferring with the Erie County District's Attorney Office, Sgt. Daniel Dytchkowskyj and Deputy Jason Raczynski from the Erie County Sheriff's Accident Investigation Unit charged Maloney on Thursday, Feb. 9..
Maloney was arraigned in the Town of Brant Court on Feb. 9 and is due back in court later this month.
