Sherwood Meadows Apartments project tabled for the time being

HAMBURG — The Hamburg Planning Board has not yet given its final decision about the proposed Sherwood Meadows Apartments in Hamburg, an issue that was tabled at the board’s Oct. 2 meeting.

Planning Consultant Sarah DesJardins advised that the board is planning to address the apartment issue during its next meeting.

The board also heard information about the Eddy & Lewin Homes’ planned 29-lot subdivision on vacant land south of Sowles Road, near Southwestern Boulevard.

The planning board reviewed the layout of that project and authorized the initiation of a coordinated review. The information will be sent out to involved agencies, which will have 30 days to respond. The board will revisit this project in November.

The Willow Woods subdivision, a 49-lot project, was given preliminary approval. While the board as a whole will not see this plan again, the site coordinators will work with the engineering department and obtain the regulatory approvals.

The board will hold a new project meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 16, prior to its regular meeting at 7.
