The second annual Village Wine About in the Village of Hamburg will be held on Sunday, June 8 from 3 to 7 p.m.
This event, sponsored by the Village Business Advisory Council, is a village-wide wine tasting event featuring eight vineries, live music and local artisans at 12 different locations in the village.
“This is a blend of wine, bands and art,” said President of the VBAC Joseph Battin. “We have a shuttle bus trolley (which will loop continuously for the entire event) so people can travel from one location to the other without having to worry about parking.
“At each wine tasting location there will be a different wine, so each stop is a new experience,” Battin said.
Wine tasting locations are: Battin Eyecare Gallery, 6175 S. Park Ave.; Magpies Cards & Gifts, 314 Buffalo St.; Bikram Yoga Hamburg, 266 Buffalo St; Biehler’s Village Square Wine & Liquor, 141 Buffalo St.; Melanie’s Eats-N-Sweets, 182 Lake St.; Merchants at Staub Square (Prima Oliva, Village Sweet Shoppe and What A Woman Wants) 1 Buffalo St.; Ten Thousand Vines Winery, 8 S. Buffalo St.; Salon Savvi, 12 Main St.; Embraceable Ewe, 213 Main St.; Southtown Audio Visual, 75 Lake St.; Monroe’s Place 182 Lake St. and Kitchen Creations, 503 Sunset Drive.
The wineries and breweries that are participating are: Chateau Buffalo, Winery of Ellicottville, Flying Bison, Johnson Estates, Noble Winery, Ten Thousand Vines, 21 Brix and Woodbury Vineyards.
Along with the wine tasting, there will be either live music to entertain participants or there will displays of artisans works for sale.
“We will have a mixture of local and out of town artisans and musicians,” said John Elliot, Battin Eyecare & Gallery office assistant. “We want to offer our patrons a wide variety of choices.”
At press time musicians participating in the event included Bella, The Albrights, Don Z, Barley corn Brothers and John Harris.
Artists and artisans included Michelle Chas, JPHii Design, Sandra Bartz and Mabey.
There will also be restaurant specials that day.
Pre-sale tickets are $10 per person and may be purchased at Battin Eyecare & Gallery, 6175 South Park Ave. and at Ten Thousand Vines Winery at 8 S. Buffalo St.
Tickets must be presented for the wine tasting and use of the trolley shuttle.
Participants must be 21 or older.
