A new exhibit and several art classes are scheduled in the coming weeks at Enjoy The Journey Art Gallery, located at 1168 Orchard Park Rd. in West Seneca.

“Envelop,” featuring the work of emerging artist Margaret Giamo of Orchard Park, is the gallery’s next featured exhibit. A recent graduate of SUNY College at Cortland, Giamo’s paintings are timeless, beautiful, striking and evoke emotion. An opening reception will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 14, with the exhibit on display from March 12 through April 5.

The next Wine, Women & Art session with artist Andrea Oswald will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, March 20. Oswald will introduce participants to the art of mixed media, working with pastes, papers and small 3-D objects to create a mixed media piece of art to take home. No experience is needed and participants are encouraged to bring photos or small 3-D objects to include in their piece of art. Register at least two days prior to class. The cost is $25 per person and class is limited to 10 ladies.

Smith will focus on the basic skills and encourages her students to create an expression of their own creativity. She will be working with tarnish-resistant silver and gold-tone wire, and beads in acrylic, glass and clay. All the tools and supplies are included for the class. The cost of the workshop is $50. Class size is limited to five participants.

A four-week basic acrylic painting class with instructor Cindi O’Mara takes place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, April 1, 8, 15 and 22. At the end of this series of classes, participants will have the basics to begin painting in acrylic. A supply list is available on the gallery’s website. The cost of the four-week course is $80.
