HAMBURG — Evans Bank announced the addition of John Marshall as senior vice president and chief credit officer.

He has also held various other positions at First Charter Bank, Wachovia Bank and Hibernia National Bank.

As CCO, Marshall will be responsible for oversight of a credit authority structure.

“John comes to us with a strong credit management background,” said David Nasca, president and chief executive officer. “He is a proven leader in risk reporting, compliance, operational risk and portfolio management, and will be a true asset, enhancing our capabilities as we continue to evolve the organization’s risk management.”

Marshall earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is Six Sigma green belt certified. He is in process of relocating to Western New York from North Carolina.
