Lynne Dixon and Mickey Kearns
HAMBURG — New York State Assemblyman Mickey Kearns has endorsed Lynne Dixon in her re-election effort to the Erie County Legislature. Kearns has served in the NYS Assembly since winning a special election in March 2012.
Dixon, an Independence Party member, will also be running on the Republican and Conservative lines on Nov. 5. The district consists of Blasdell, Hamburg, Lackawanna and South Buffalo.
“Lynne Dixon has shown the independence we expect in our elected officials. She is willing to work with any and all parties to deliver for her constituents, which she proved last year when she stopped a proposed tax increase by the County Executive. It has been a pleasure working alongside Lynne, and I hope to have her fighting with me on behalf of taxpayers for years to come,” Kearns said.
“I’m thrilled to receive the endorsement of Assemblyman Kearns. He has shown time and again his ability to work beyond party lines and be a true advocate for Western New York. Working with him in County government over the years has been a pleasure, and I look forward to continuing that working relationship into another term,” Dixon said.
