Metro Group, Inc. is seeking college applicants who are interested in a spring and/or summer internship working as a marketing/communications intern in the marketing & digital media department.

The applicant should be eager to learn the ins-and-outs of the business and willing to assist with marketing, public relations and social media efforts. This position will gain experience with working the following elements:

• Developing and maintaining sales proposals and collateral, desktop publishing, rate cards, newsletters, brochures, and many other materials related to marketing.

• Executing a wide variety of details that involve direct mail, email broadcast campaigns, outbound calls, marketing trade shows and events, public relations, customer communications, media advertisements, promotions, and other marketing plans.

• Web content, blogging, press releases and digital media programs

• Using social Media sites such as Face book, Twitter and Linked In for business promotions and marketing

The internship is 15-weeks long with flexible hours available. Interested parities may utilize this internship as a credited course in college classes pending permission from school. This can be determined upon acceptance.

Interested parties should have an interest in writing, a desire to learn, be hard working and disciplined. Access to a vehicle is preferred, as well as a valid driver’s license.
