Aldridge Family Chiropractic opens in Pendleton

Aldridge Family Chiropractic has been serving the Pendleton community for a little more than a month.

The business is now located at 7225 Campbell Boulevard, Suite 3 and Dr. Cynthia L. Aldridge wants her office to have a comfortable, relaxed environment, making patients feel at home.

Aldridge was born and raised in a small town in West Virginia. She received her bachelors in biology from Marshall University and her doctor of chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls.

She then began interning in Depew and fell in love with Western New York.

She also met her now fiancé Ben Amato, who grew up in the Cheektowaga area.

When looking for a place to live and start a practice, the couple decided on Pendleton.

“Pendleton was the perfect place,” said Aldridge. “It has everything we wanted. It’s more of a family oriented place.”

She said it is close to the bigger areas with lots of amenities, but has a very small town feel.

Her parents David and Debbie Aldridge, who currently live in West Virginia, loved the area so much when they came to visit; they too are buying a home in the Cambria area.

Aldridge has been living in Pendleton since June and Aldridge Family Chiropractic opened Nov. 1.

“It’s been really nice,” said Aldridge. “I couldn’t have asked for a better place. The people in the community have been very helpful.”

Aldridge treats a variety of injuries, including neck and back pain, headaches, stiff joints, sprain and strain injuries, herniated discs, sport related injuries and whiplash.

She provides chiropractic adjustments, patient examinations, hot and cold therapies, therapeutic exercises, instrument assisted soft tissue technique and kinesiology taping.

Products available in her office include Biofreeze, Rocktape and Rock Sauce, Douglas Laboratory vitamins and hot/cold packs.

She believes Thomas Edison rightly said, “The doctor of the future will give no medication, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, diet and in the cause and prevention of disease.”

Aldridge does not believe people should seek the “quick fix” to a problem. She said she does not believe in putting a bandage over pain, but instead seeks to find its cause.

By restoring normal motions and normalizing the nervous system, the body will be allowed to function optimally.

“People have to make time to heal properly,” she said. “There is not a quick fix. If you give your body time to heal, you won’t regret it and you will see wonderful results.”

Aldridge is a member of the New York State Chiropractic Association, New York Chiropractic Council, the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress and the American Chiropractic Association.

Aldridge Family Chiropractic is open from 8 a.m. to noon and 2 to 6 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays. Saturdays are open by appointment only.

Aldridge is now accepting patients. Appointments can be made by calling 264-4329. Walk-ins are also welcome.
