He was the husband of the late Caroline (nee Buechner); father of Sharon (Rickie Nelson) Staats, Michael (Barbara) and James (Terry) Basher; grandfather of Jennifer, Laurie, Michael, Jonathan and Travis; brother of William (Kay) Basher and the late Gloria (Walter) Beltowski; great-grandfather of 10; also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 7 – 9 p.m. on Dec. 5 from the Lakeside Memorial Funeral Home Inc., located at 4199 Lake Shore Road in Hamburg. A funeral service will be held from the funeral home at 8:45 a.m. on Dec. 6, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at Saint Francis of Assisi Church at 9:30.

Judith (nee Dutchess) DelPrince, 62, of Angola died Nov. 26 in Mercy Hospital of Buffalo.
She was the wife of Peter DelPrince; mother of Anne Marie (Douglas) Schupple, Peter (Christina) DelPrince and Christian (Teresa) DelPrince; sister of Marione (Richard) Smith, Peter (Susie) Dutchess, Chris (Donna) Dutchess and the late Leslie McKeever-Dutchess; grandmother of Kyle, Dougie, Hannah, Madison, Brooke and Gunnar; daughter of the late Leslie and Phyllis Dutchess; daughter-in-law of Louise (late Peter) DelPrince; sister-in-law of Irene (Ralph) Giambra; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was a member of the World War II British Wives Club.

Helen (nee Miller) Ericsson died Nov. 23 in Hospice care at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital.
She lived in South Buffalo and graduated from Mount Mercy Academy in 1939.
She worked in Norfolk, Va. during World War II, and later moved back to Buffalo.
She worked at the Sisters of Our Lady of Charity/Hopevale Residential Center for Adolescent Girls in Hamburg. She was a 38-year survivor of breast cancer. She supported other survivors through the Breast Cancer Network of Western New York.
She was a reader and an artist. She was active in the Saints Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church of Hamburg, several book clubs and the community at Bristol Village.
She was the wife of Gustav Ericsson; mother of John; daughter of Walter and Helen Miller.
A memorial service was held Nov. 30 at Bristol Village in Clarence Center.

Charles Gerber Jr., 77, of Hamburg died Nov. 28.
He was the president of Alcor Envelope Company. He was a United States Navy veteran who fought in the Korean War.
He was the husband of the late Janet (nee Wicks); father of Charles III (Mary) and Susan Gerber; brother of the late Dolores Rieman; grandfather of Ryan (Kristy) Gerber.
A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. No prior visitation will be held. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

She was a retired teacher from the Kenmore School District.

Richard “Dick” Jones, 66, of Pownal, Vt., formerly of Angola, died Nov. 29 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, Vt.
He graduated from Lake Shore Central High School and attended Long Beach State University in California. He worked in construction. He also worked for General Mills in Buffalo and the Woodford School Lunch Program, Morrison’s Automobile Dealership and the Manchester Journal of Vermont.
He skied, played hockey, golfed, cooked and spent time with his family.
He was the husband of Donna Jones; son of Albert and Emily (nee Lunsford) Jones; father of Kristie (John) Giambrone of Brant, Mindy (Jerry) Disorbo of Selkirk, Brandon “Bubba” (Rebecca) Jones of Angola and Jedidiah, Samuel, Eli, Noah, Rachel and Catherine Jones, all of Pownal, Vt.; also survived by nine grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 3 – 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6 from the Addison Funeral Home Inc., located at 262 N. Main St. in Angola. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Dec. 7 from The First Church of Evans in Derby. Interment will follow, in the church cemetery.

Richard Ketelsen of Hamburg died Nov. 26.
He was a minister and elder in the Hamburg Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was a retired accountant and personnel director at the GM Powertrain Plant.
He was the husband of 68 years of the late Janet (nee Fleming) Ketelsen; father of Linda (William) Schwartz, David (Teresa) Ketelsen and Rachel (Eric “Rick”) Hackett; grandfather of Jennifer (Mark) Kaufman, Amy McCooey, Linda Burgess, Matthew Ketelsen and Colin Papendick; great-grandfather of eight and great-great-grandfather of one; brother of Herbert (late Esther), Clyde (late Jenny) and the late Raymond (late Edith) Ketelsen; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
