Louise (nee Prietti) Annichiarico, 88, of Hamburg died April 1.

She was a homemaker.

She was the wife of Gene Annichiarico; mother of Susan (Charles) Miller, Thomas, Michael (Donna) and the late David; grandmother of six; great-grandmother of five; also survived by one sister, one brother, nieces and nephews; pre-deceased by two brothers and one sister.

Visitation and a memorial service were held from the John J. Kaczor Funeral Home’s Hamburg Chapel.

Robert Barker
Robert Barker, 38, formerly of North Collins, died April 4.

He was the son of Ginny Castle and Daniel Barker; brother of Stacy Barker, Daniel Barker, Michael Donlin, Heather Donlin and Theresa Bellavia; step-brother of Danielle Barker, George Castle, James Castle and Thomas Castle; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Michael Fitzgerald
Michael Fitzgerald

Michael Fitzgerald of Derby died March 11.

He volunteered for many years in a variety of athletic settings, including scheduling and coordinating the Diocese of Buffalo Elementary Southtowns Girls Basketball League for 20 years.

He was active with the Southtowns Invitational Track Association for more than 20 years, first as coach for Southtowns Catholic School, as an official and scheduler, and then as league director. The league will present the Outstanding Coach of the Year Award at the All-SITA meet in May, in his memory.

He was involved in athletics at Immaculata Academy from 2005 – 2008. During that time, he served as athletic director and coached junior varsity basketball, track and cross-country. He helped work toward independent status, which led to private schools’ competing in the state championships.

He was the father of Michael Sean Fitzgerald and Megan Patricia (Joseph) Hassenfratz; brother of Maureen (Paul Young) Fitzgerald-Kane, Barbara (Brian) Guest, Timothy (Ann) Fitzgerald, Ellen Fitzgerald and the late Jack (Karen) Fitzgerald; also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.

Donald Gambee
Donald Gambee

Donald Gambee, 60, of Angola died April 4.

He was the father of Melissa “Gemma” and Monica (Mike Meldman) Gambee; son of

William and Bonnie Gambee Sr.; brother of Robert (Carrie) Gambee, Debra (late Joseph) Almeida, William Gambee Jr., Susan (Frederick) Wilhelm, Lisa (Michael) Guenot, Linda (Ric) Gambee and Michelle (John) Ciciera; grandson of the late Robert (Olive) Ford; grandfather of Maxwell Meldman; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held from the Addison Funeral Home Inc. of Angola. A funeral service was held from the First Church of Evans.

John “Jack” Gaughan of Lackawanna died April 5.

He was the husband of the late Edwardine (nee O’Dea); father of Maureen (Matthew Sr.) O’Connell and John Patrick Gaughan; grandfather of Abigail, Michael and Kathleen O’Connell; son of the late Leo and Margaret Gaughan; brother of Sister Helen Ann Gaughan R.S.M. and the late Jane (Charles) Newman; brother-in-law of Helen O’Dea, William O’Dea, Patricia (James) Thompson, Moira O’Dea and the late Richard (late Mary) O’Dea; also survived by other family members and friends.

Gerald Jordan
Gerald Jordan

Gerald Jordan, 92, of Hamburg died in Sarasota, Fla. on April 1.

He was born March 6, 1922 in Los Angeles, Calif. to Walter and Bertha (nee Fedick) Jordan.

He graduated from Ithaca High School and attended Rochester Institute of Technology.

He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II and the Korean War. He was sent to Castle Camps, Cambridgeshire and Ipswich, Suffolk, England. He was then stationed in Wichita, Kan.; Sacramento, Calif.; Biloxi, Miss.; Bossier City, La.; Mountain High, Idaho and Rome, N.Y. He retired as a lieutenant colonel in 1967.

He was the husband of Wilma (nee Myers) and the late Marie (nee Fiedler) and Doris (nee Fett); father of Betty Lou Jordan, Sheron (Harvey) Pearl, Suzanne Grabar, Lynne (Gregory) Philley, David (Sarah) Jordan and the late Patricia Jordan and Edward Jordan; stepfather of Leah (Cecil) Rotenberry, Wallace Fiedler, Judy (Andrew) Droitcur, Janet (Donald) McRobert; grandfather of Janet (John) Eich, Deborah (James) Grys, Roseanne Jordan, Thomas (Rebecca) Jordan, Christopher Grabar, Michael Jordan, Andrew Philley, Timothy Philley and Timothy Jordan; great-grandfather of Jemma; also survived by 10 step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4 – 7 p.m. on April 11 from the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home Inc., located at 418 N. George St. in Rome. A funeral service will be held at 9:45 a.m. on April 12 from the funeral home, and at 10:30 from Saint Paul’s Church of Rome. The Rev. Robert Kelly will officiate. Interment will be in Saint Mary’s Church.

Mary Alice (nee Goldston) Livecchi, 68, of North Collins died April 2.

She was the owner of Livecchi’s Gun Sales of North Collins from 1980 – 2008.

She was the wife of Louis Livecchi Jr.; mother of Louis III (Pandora), Christopher D. (Darleen), Michael (Carla), Christopher M. and the late Linda Carl Livecchi; grandmother of Ciara, Dakota, Louis IV, Shania, Jamison Livecchi and Nicholas Cyr; daughter of the late John and Bonnie Goldston; sister of Charles (Jan) Goldston, Dicki (Carolyn) Golston and the late Nelda Gilly, John and Ronald Goldston; also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation and a funeral service were held from the Wentland Funeral Home of North Collins. A Mass of Christian burial was held from Holy Spirit Church of North Collins.

Peter Loretto Sr.

Peter Loretto Sr., 88, of North Collins died April 7.

He was an exempt North Collins Volunteer Fire Department member, a lifetime member of Rovers Camping Club, a North Collins Democratic Committee member for 25-plus years and a retiree of Bethlehem Steel.

He was the husband of the late Joyce (nee Robbins) Loretto; father of Peter Jr. (Sharon), Kevin Loretto, Brenda (Bob) Petrus and the late Alice Mary Shamblen; father-in-law of David Shamblen; grandfather of Linda, Deborah, Leslie, Suzanne, Melissa, David and the late Bradley; great-grandfather of Courtney, Mike, Christine, Sydney, Brenna, Madison and Jason; son of the late Vitus and Mary Loretto; brother of Isabelle (late Lester) Welker, Jim (Patrina), Carmella, Jacob (Mary) and Anna Marie Loretto; also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation was held from the Wentland Funeral Home Inc. of North Collins. A funeral service will be held from the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 10, followed by a Mass of Christian burial from Holy Spirit Church of North Collins, at 10.

Amelia Manguso
Amelia Manguso

Amelia (nee Damohn) Manguso, 99, formerly of Angola, died April 3.

She was the wife of the late Harold Gardner and Fred Manguso; mother of Gwen (Gary) Mueller, Sharon (late Jim) Cocina, Patricia (David) Kuczkowski, Susan (Russell) Emerson, Frederick (Lucy) Manguso and Russell (Kathy) Manguso; sister of Shirl Change and Midge (Gene) Murphy; also survived by 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation and a funeral service were held from the Addison Funeral Home Inc. of Angola.

Antonina Martin
Antonina “Dusty” (nee Loretto) Martin, 68, of North Collins has died.

She was the wife of the late Ken Martin; sister of Mary (Ward) Weiser, Linda Borowski, Karen (Jack) Lawton, Roman (Karen) Loretto and the late Carmen, Louis, Bart, Martin Loretto and Maria Drozdowski; also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

A Mass of Christian burial was held from Holy Spirit Church of North Collins. Arrangements were made by the Wentland Funeral Home of North Collins.

Betty Mohney

Betty Mohney, 83, of Batavia, formerly of Eden, died April 7.

She had been a medical secretary at the former Genesee Memorial Hospital in Batavia.

She was born June 1, 1930 in Dora, Pa. to the late William and Gladys (nee Delp) Knapp.

She was the wife of the late Guy Mohney; mother of Chanley (Debbie) Mohney, Duane (Annamarie) Mohney, Dwight (Debbie) Mohney, Sonya Mohney and Sharon Hills; sister of Leona Davis, Joyce Toven and Cleora Schaffer; also survived by five grandchildren, two step-grandsons and several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation was held from H.E. Turner & Co Inc. of Batavia. A funeral service was held from Evangelical United Methodist Church of Brookville, Pa. Burial was in Saint John’s At Windy Hill in Boonville, Pa.

Erma Uhlman

Erma (nee Kipler) Uhlman of Hamburg died April 3.

She was the wife of the late Paul Uhlman; mother of Ronald (Denise), Janice (David) Cooper and Kay (Joseph) Searfino; sister-in-law of Peppy Uhlman; predeceased by three brothers and three sisters; also survived by seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Sarah (nee Gromley) Unsworth of Blasdell died April 3.

She was the wife of the late Charles Unsworth and Everett Henry; mother of Ruth (Andrew) Kusczak, Ronald (Diana) Henry and Anna Mae (Laird) Louchart; sister of Rothard (Charlotte) Gromley and Richard (Joyce) Gromley; also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and Robert Gromley and Judith (Richard) Baillieux; predeceased by one grandson, four brothers and three sisters.

Visitation and a funeral service were held from the John J. Kaczor Funeral Home’s Blasdell/Lackawanna Chapel.
