Donald Brach of Hamburg died March 2.
He was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Roberts-Gordon Inc. and, for the past 18 years, was employed by Mike’s Village Service on Buffalo Street in Hamburg.
He was the husband of Donna (nee Georgi) Brach; father of Bruce (Mirka), Matthew (Lynn), Daniel (Tiffany) and the late Stephen Brach; grandfather of Sophia, Steve and Bradley; son of the late Louis and Margaret (nee Siller) Brach; brother of the late George (Pearl) and Charles Brach; also survived by nieces, nephews and his cat Kylee.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements were made by Erie County Cremation Service, located on Abbott Road in Buffalo.

Carl Edward Duerr, 90, of Northport, Fla., formerly of Hamburg, died Feb. 23.
He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II.
He was the husband of 63 years of Florence Duerr; father of Lynn, Carl (Nancy Mildenberger), Wayne (Kathy), Wendy, Jim (Kelly), Bruce (Luisa), Jeff (Mary) and Kim (Al Diamico); grandfather of 12; great-grandfather of six; brother of the late Robert (late Aileen) Duerr.
Interment was held from Sarasota National Cemetery on Feb. 26. Arrangements were made by the McKee Funeral Home of Northport. A memorial service will be held in August.Robert Hefner Sr.
Robert Hefner Sr., 69, of Angola died March 5.
He was the father of Robert Jr., Amy, Heather, Jenny Lynn, Jessica and Jason; brother of the late Gerald and Ronald Hefner; also survived by seven grandchildren.

He was the companion of Judy Peacock; father of John (Heidi) Herc, Kathy (Nicholas) Mecca and Jean Marie (Christopher) Ballou; stepfather of Denise and William Peacock; grandfather of Hailee, Hannah, Hayden, Sydney, Kailey, Meghan, Emalee and Ashley; brother of the late Joseph Herc.

Robert Georgi, 54, of East Concord, formerly of Hamburg, died Feb. 24, after an illness.
His sister Donna Brach donated her kidney in 2009, prolonging his life for the past five years.
He was the husband of Ramona (nee Way) Georgi; father of Harley Georgi and Wade Georgi; stepfather of Brian Hummel; son of Norma (nee Boswell) Hale and the late David Georgi; grandfather of Raelissa Krzemien; brother of Norman (Betty) Georgi, Gary (Gale) Georgi, Donna (late Don) Brach, Jennifer (Mike) Schweickert, Linda Clouser, Carolyn (Dan) Cordier and Maryann Deptula.
A celebration of his life will be held at his home on June 6.

Frances (nee Di James) Magro, 91, formerly of Angola, died March 7 in the Harris Hill Nursing Facility in Williamsville.
She was the wife of the late John Magro; mother of the late Mary Ann (James) Dawson; daughter of the late Daniel Di James and Agnes Elizabeth Sisti; sister of Carmela Delores “Dee” (late Libert) DiPasquale and the late Pasqual “Packi” (Lenora) Di James, Rose Marie “Bobbie” (Joe) Vasi, Margaret (Louis) Insana, Daniel and Mary Di James; grandmother of John, Steven (Vanessa), Amanda Dawson and Michaelene (Chris) Globus; great-grandmother of Anthony, Amaya Dawson, Jacob Huen and Samuel Dawson-Globus; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 7 – 9 p.m. on March 12 and 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. on March 13 from the Addison Funeral Home, located at 262 N. Main St. in Angola. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on March 14 from Most Precious Blood Church, located on Prospect Street in Angola. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Richard McHenry, 87, of North Collins died March 5.
He listened to country music, was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, and had been an employee of Chevy Tonawanda for 27 years. He was a part-time resident of Zephyr Hills, Fla.
He was the husband of Anna (nee Waldenberger) McHenry; father of Gerald (Barbara) McHenry and Geraldine Bachiochi; grandfather of Gerald McHenry Jr., Alishia Privitera, Jonathan McHenry, Kristina Scheffel and Jennifer Bachiochi; great-grandfather of Aiden, Grace Privitera, Parker Scheffel and Landon Bachiochi; also survived by brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews in Pennsylvania.
There was no prior visitation. Arrangements were made by the Wentland Funeral Home of North Collins.
Edward Metzger of Hamburg died March 3.
He was a United States Army veteran who served in World War II.
He was the husband of the late Dorothy (nee Eagan) Metzger; father of Rolland (Jackie) Metzger, Dawn (Paul) Sciangula, James (late Jody) and Keith Metzger; grandfather of seven; great-grandfather of 10; son of the late Peter and Augusta Metzger; brother of the late August Metzger; brother-in-law of Bill (Ellie) and the late Bob (Julia) Eagan; also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
There was prior visitation. A Mass of Christian burial was held from Saints Peter & Paul Church of Hamburg. Interment was in Hillcrest Cemetery.
