Marilyn Bourkney

Marilyn (nee Miller) Bourkney, 74, of North Collins died March 12.

She was the mother of Robert (Kris), William (Beth Wenner) and Joan Bourkney; grandmother of three; sister of William Webb, Joan Chatwood and Jack Webb; also survived by nieces and nephews.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 3 from Epiphany of Our Lord Church of Langford.

Arrangements were made by the Wentland Funeral Home of North Collins.

Marian Charnock
Marian Charnock

Marian (nee Ormand) Charnock of Hamburg died March 21.

She was a member of the Scranton Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and was the executive secretary of Pacific Transportation.

She was the wife of 58 years of Robert Charnock; mother of David (Julie), Robert (Michelle), John (Andrea), Todd Charnock and Cara (Steve) Casuccio; grandmother of 13 grandchildren; also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. on April 4 from the Loomis, Offers & Loomis Inc. Hamburg Chapel, located at 207 Main St.

A funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel at 9:30 a.m. on April 5, followed by a Mass of Christian burial from Saints Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church of Hamburg, at 10.

Memorials may be made to SS. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church.

James Corbran
James Corbran of Hamburg died March 18.

He was the son of the late Alfred and Helen (nee Pilcher) Corbran; brother of Paul (Pamela) Corbran and Mary (Lynn) Vollmer; also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation and a funeral service were held from the Loomis, Offers & Loomis Inc. Hamburg Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.

Lester Cornell
Lester Cornell, 77, of Hamburg died March 19.

He was a retired foreman from the Erie County Highway Department.

He was the husband of Wanda (nee Fittry) Cornell; father of Kenneth (Leona) Cornell, Dee (Mike) Plog, Paul (Cathy) Darling, Dennis Darling and the late William Cornell; father-in-law of Loretta Cornell; grandfather of 12 grandchildren and one predeceased grandson; great-grandfather of eight; brother of Betty (late Alan) Schreiner; brother-in-law of Jacques (Bonnie) Michaud, Gary (Karen), Belinda, Brian Fittry and Joe III (Lisa) Wandass; also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a time and date to be announced. There will be no prior visitation.

Dorothy Filipiak
Dorothy (nee Dryja) Filipiak, 93, of Boston died March 23.

She was a homemaker.

She was the wife of the late Theodore Filipiak; mother of Ronald (Barbara) and Gerald “Gary” (Jean) Filipiak; also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one sister, nieces and nephews; predeceased by a brother; friend of Myrtle Baco.

Visitation was held from the John J. Kaczor Funeral Home’s Hamburg Chapel. A Mass of Christian burial was held from Saint Francis of Assisi Church.

Annette (nee Hazard) Frost, 97, died March 20 in the Nicholas H. Noyes Hospital of Dansville, N.Y.

She was a past town of Evans historian.

She was the wife of the late Whitney Frost; mother of Barbara (Richard) DeMay and Thomas (May) Frost; stepmother of the late Ann (late Richard) Jasinski; survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held from the First Congregational United Church of Christ of Angola.

Michael Jimerson Sr. of Silver Creek died March 19.

He was the co-owner of TPS Petroleum Products in Silver Creek.

He was the husband of Patricia Jimerson; father of Lisa Snyder, Michael Jimerson Jr., Jason North, Kelley (Dan) Benzing and Amanda (Robert) Austin; brother-in-law of Lynne Kline; grandfather of Seth, Dakota, Steven and Shadow Snyder, Aidan and Lucas North, Ella, Ericka and Eli Austin, Avery and Hayden Benzing; great-grandfather of Mason, Phoenix, Portia, Noah, Taiya, Sekera and Mekhi Snyder; cousin of Jean Marie (John), John (Abby) Homich and Jenifer (Justin) Mormile; friend of Tony (Jane) Borrello; also survived by many friends, nieces and nephews.

She was the wife of the late Arthur Maybee; mother of Romayne (David) Watt, Marjorie Ann Gonzalez, Joanne Williams, James (Cindy) Allen, Armand (Gloria) Maybee, Rebecca (Larry) Schosek and John (Elizabeth) Maybee; grandmother of 25; great-grandmother of 33; great-great-grandmother of nine; sister of Lyman Kettle and the late Geraldine Kettle, Betsy Martin and Lucille Thompson; also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was the wife of 49 years of Gerald Meyer; mother of Debra (William) Schara and Jodi (Robert) Stoberl; sister of Richard (Marylou) Butler, Betty (late Jerry) Schlager and the late Ruby (Hans) Eberlin and Henry Butler; grandmother of Nathan and Erin Stoberl; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial was held from Epiphany of Our Lord Church in Langford. Arrangements were made by the Wentland Funeral Home of North Collins.

Joseph Voltz
Joseph Voltz of Lake View died March 19.

He was the husband of Marie (nee Duffy); father of Lynn (Mike Hartman), Joey (Cathy) and Tracey Voltz; grandfather of Amanda, Christopher, Erica, Allison and Michael; brother of Bill (Marie), Mary Jane (Martin) Dolan, Sister Carol Ann Voltz and the late Robert (late Wanda) and Janet (late John) Dolan; also survived by nieces and nephews.

David Weller of Blasdell died Feb. 24.

She was a homemaker.

She was the wife of the late John Zeitler; mother of Sharon (Larry) Jones, Robert, John (Sylvia) and the late Judith Stolzman; grandmother of Alexander Jones, Ashley Zeitler, Sara and Jacquelyn Zeitler, Jennifer (Joshua) Repp and Christopher (Nicole) Stolzman; great-grandmother of Owen and Mia Repp and Brianna Stolzman; sister of Joanne (late Gordon) Coady and the late Alice Powers, John McGirl and Thomas McGirl; also survived by many other family members and friends.

Visitation was held from the John J. Kaczor Funeral Home’s Hamburg Chapel. A Mass of Christian burial was held from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Buffalo. Entombment was in Holy Cross Cemetery.
