Arthur Gillon of Hamburg died Nov. 7.
He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a retired general line foreman from New York State Electric and Gas and served for 56 years as a volunteer firefighter.
He was the husband of Irene (nee Stabell); father of Gail Austin, Wendy Smiraglia, Thomas, Douglas, David and Alison Gillon; also survived by 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation and a funeral service were held from the Loomis, Offers & Loomis Inc. Hamburg Chapel, located at 207 Main St.
Memorials may be made to the Hamburg Volunteer Fire Company.

He was the husband of Ronnie (nee Love) Marean; father of Barbara (Brian) Rohr, Robert (Corrie) and Michael (Elise) Marean; grandfather of Jake, Ben, Luke, Cooper, Abby and Joe; brother of James (Margel), Harry (Lynn) and Lee (Jacqueline Correia) Marean; also survived by nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
Visitation and a funeral service were held from the Lakeside Memorial Funeral Home, located at 4199 Lake Shore Road in Hamburg.

Daniel Maybee, 71, of the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation, died Nov. 5.
He was a former member of Local 74 Roofers Union and a member of the Turtle Clan.
He was the former husband of Sally Greene; father of Chris (Cheryl Mendoza) Maybee, Lisa (Ray Logan) Maybee and the late Blane Maybee; grandfather of four; great-grandfather of three; brother of Diane Stevens, Gary Maybee, Wayne, Jimmy Jones, Margie Schindler, Linda Fisher, Gloria DePaul, Maggie Stevens, Julie Bucktooth, Philip Jones and the late Terry Jones; also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service was held from the Longhouse Cattaraugus Indian Reservation on Nov. 8.
Arrangements were made by the Wentland Funeral Home in North Collins.
Richard “Dick” Robel, 76, of Raleigh, N.C., formerly of Boston, died on Nov. 7.
He was born May 25, 1937.
He was the husband of Elizabeth (nee Buchnowski) Robel; father of Kathryn (Richard) Bley, Richard (late Lynn), Michael (Lisa), Paul (Amy) and Lisa Robel; grandfather of Courtney, Chris, Richie, Ben, Andrea, Paulie and the late Jason; brother of John (Mary Ellen) Robel, the late Robert Robel and Judith Saiunek; friend of Maxie; he was also survived by one great-granddaughter.

Ronald Sander, 74, of Hamburg, formerly of Blackrock, Buffalo, died Nov. 11.
He was a retired police lieutenant who served in the city of Buffalo Police Department for more than 30 years. He was also a member of the Police Benevolent Association.
He drove a Corvette and snowmobile; he was a member of the Western New York Snowmobile Club of Boston. He was a supporter of the Friends of the Night People in Buffalo and the Wounded Warriors organization.
He was the son of the late Maynard and Rita (nee Kelley) Sander; father of Carol Milholland, Patricia (Adam) Schreckengost and Kelly (Jim) Bebak; grandfather of Matthew Milholland, Alisha Corsi and Amelia Schreckengost.
Visitation will be held from 2 – 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16 and a memorial service will follow at 8, at the Lakeside Memorial Funeral Home of Hamburg.

Ethel (nee Lango) Woodworth, 86, of Hamburg died Nov. 2.
She was a homemaker.
She returned to Hamburg from Florida after 30 years.
She bowled and did crafts.
She was the wife of the late Harold Woodworth. She is survived by her daughter Lynn (Jean) Lango; siblings Richard Bement, Joyce Lielinski and Nany Klaiber; parents Clarence and Gladys Bement; nine grandchildren,12 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Sharon Evans.
