Riley A. Bednasz

Funeral services were held Monday (Nov. 19) from the John J. Kaczor Funeral Home for Riley A. Bednasz, of Blasdell, who died on Thursday, November 15, 2012.

She is survived by her parents, Gerald and Jamie (Scheffler) Bednasz; siblings, Kelsey (Jessie) Fox, Alyssa (Tucker Candy) and Arynne Bednasz; grandparents, Karen (late Raymond) Scheffler and Lotte (late Michael) Bednasz; niece, Jayce and also survived by a large loving family and many dear friends.

Interment at Lakeside Memoral Cemetery.

Elsie Oehler

Funeral services were held on Wednesday (Nov. 21) from Wentland Funeral Home for Elsie (Myers) Oehler, 86, of Collins, who died on Saturday, November 17, 2012.

She is survived by her children, Kenneth B. Leslie, Sandra (Ed) Grabski, Joseph D. Jr., Gary and Sharon Oehler; siblings, Mary (late Gail) Thompson, Ron and Kenneth Myers; 12 grandchildren and seven plus great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Oehler as predeceased by her husbands David Leslie and Joseph D. Oehler Sr. and brothers, William C. and Donald Myers.

She worked in the Emergency Room Department at Mercy Hospital for over 28 years.

Susan Hogencamp

A memorial service was held Sunday (Nov. 18) from the Wesleyan Church of Hamburg for Susan L. (Rindfleisch) Hogencamp, of Hamburg, who died on Wednesday, November 14, 2012.

She is survived by her husband, Dwayne W. Hogencamp; parents, Janet (David) Woeflings and Charles (Connie) Hogencamp; daughter, Lindsay Dylong; siblings, Cindy (Robert) Stadelmaier and Kelly (James) Brown; grandchildren, Draven and Layla Albano; also survived by a large loving family and many dear friends.

Thomas Butterfield

A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday (Nov. 24) from the Lakeside Memorial Funeral Home, 4199 Lake Shore Road, Hamburg, for Thomas Butterfield, of Hamburg, who died on Tuesday, November 13, 2012.

He was survived by his wife Joan (Garner) Butterfield, who later died on Nov. 15, 2012.

Mr. Butterfield is survived by his siblings, Margaret (Eddie) Jones, Marion (Tony) Keary, Patricia (late Jim) Peterson, John (Rene) Butterfield and Linda (John) Clayton; brother-in-law, Stan (Lily) Garner; nieces and nephews, Eddie, Gary, Lisa and Travis and many nieces and nephews.

Joan Butterfield

A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday (Nov. 24) from the Lakeside Memorial Funeral Home, 4199 Lake Shore Road, Hamburg, for Joan (Garner) Butterfield, of Hamburg, who died on Tuesday, November 15, 2012.

She is survived by her siblings, Stan (Lily) Garner; sister-in-law, Margaret (Eddie) Jones and many loving family members in the United States and England.

Mrs. Butterfield was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Butterfield.

Claribel D. Knoll

Graveside services were held Tuesday (Nov. 13) from St. Mary’s Cemetery, for Claribel D. (Krebs) Knoll, 88, of East Eden, who died on Saturday, November 10, 2012.

She is survived by husband, Lawrence C. Knoll; children, Colleen Rogers and Rosann Sessamen; step-children, Tina (James) Busha, Kevin (Jennifer) and Michael (Kimberly) Knoll; grandson, Mark Sessamen and 12 step-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Mary Krebs.

Arrangements were through the Laing Funeral Home.

John L. Dirrigl

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday (Nov. 21) from the Most Precious Blood Church for John L. Dirrigl, of Angola, who died on Saturday, November 7, 2012.

He is survived by his siblings, Frank J. Dirrigl and Margaret (late John) Eagan; sister-in-law, Kathleen (late Matt) Donlon, Louise and Lorraine Dirrigl; many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Dirrigl was predeceased by his wife, Myrna (Miller) Dirrigl and siblings, Norma Murphy, George, Edward and Albert Dirrigl.

He was a member of the Most Precious Blood Holy Name Society and St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Memorials may be made to Most Precious Blood Church or to Roswell Park.

Daniel Klimowicz

Funeral services were held Wednesday (Nov. 21) from the John J. Kaczor Funeral Home for Daniel L. Klimowicz, of Hamburg, who died on Sunday, November 18, 2012.

He is survived by his wife, Judy (Wiltse) Klimowicz; children, Daniel “Sonny” (Laurie), Tim (Brenda), Ron (Cathy) and Jamie (Holly) Klimowicz; brother, Richard (Loretta) Klimowicz and grandchildren, Courtney, Danielle, Nicholas, Lauren, Austin and Kyle.

Mr. Klimowicz was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Jean Klimowicz and step-father, Stanley Kurnik.

He was a founding member of the Hamburg Snowmobile Club and a Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop No. 521.

Mary Lou Zambanini

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24, from Most Precious Blood Church, Angola, for Mary Lou (Arcurio) Zambanini, who died on Monday, November 19, 2012.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, John Zambanini; children, Deborah (Richard) Dalton, Catherine (Michael Ashcroft) Heinrich, John (Linda) Zambanini and Judy (James) Rimmer; siblings, Darlene, Janet, Helen, Fred, Joseph and Gene; grandchildren, Kara (Michael) Korhummel, Kevin Dalton, Christopher and Ashley Heinrich, Caley and Sean Rimmer, Jeffrey, Jordan and Brady Zambanini and great-grandchildren, Kimberly, Tyler, Jaden, Gianni, Brody and Mya.

Mrs. Zambanini was predeceased by her mother, Mary Arcurio and brothers Al, Leo and Junior.

She was a member of Most Precious Blood Rosary & Altar Society, Ladies of Charity and Home Bureau.

Mrs. Zambanini enjoyed golfing, vacationing with her husband and spending time with her family and friends.

Eugenia Kuras

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, (Nov. 19) from Most Precious Blood Church, for Eugenia “Jean,” “ Nina” (Pawlak) Kuras, of Angola, who died on Friday, November 16, 2012.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Anthony S. “Tony” Kuras, Sr.; children, Ron (Kathy), Tony Jr. (Peggy) and Dave (Cheryle); grandchildren, Heather, Thomas (Michelle), Fran, Todd (Angela), Dawn Marie, David Jr. “D.J”; great-grandchildren, Makayla, Richard “RJ” and Tyler; many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Kuras was predeceased by her parents, Lawrence and Victoria Pawlak and several siblings.

She was born on July 14, 1929 in Sekowa, Poland.

Mrs. Kuras was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Alter & Rosary Society, enjoyed bingo, watching birds, gardening and fishing.

Her love for family was treasured through her Sunday dinners and holiday celebrations. She brought joy to all who knew her.

Memorials may be made to UNYTS or Hospice Buffalo Inc.

Niles H. Roesser

Funeral services were held on Friday (Nov. 16) from St. John’s Community Church for Niles Henry Roesser, 95, of Ocala, Fla., formerly of Eden, who died on Saturday, November 10, 2012.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Claudia Markham-Ahl.

Mr. Roesser was predeceased by his wife, Thelma (Nagle) Roesser; his parents, Edward H. and Ida T. Roesser and sister, Grace A. Riefler.

He was born on April 24, 1917 in North Collins and later became co-owner of the Nagle Lumber Company in Eden.

Mr. Roesser was a member of the Eden Fire Company from 1951 until he and his wife moved to Ocala, Fla. in 1972.

He was also a life member of the Masonic Fortune Lodge No. 788 in North Collins.

Internment at Evergreen Cemetery.

Arrangements were made through the Laing Funeral Home.

John Orlowski

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday (Nov. 17) from St. Francis of Assisi Church, for John F. Orlowski, of Hamburg, who died on Wednesday, November 14, 2012.

He is survived his wife, Leona (Sikorski) Orlowski; children, Linda (Bruce) Reid, Nancy (William) Dash, Janet (James) Gureski, Ronald (Nancy) Orlowski and Diane (Martin) Zubek; sister, Patricia (Romeo) Campagnolo; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Mr. Orlowski was predeceased by his children, June and John Orlowski; parents, John and Helen Orlowski and siblings, Helen “Dorothy” (late Hank) Wolfe, Norman (late Connie) Orlowski and Dorothy (late Carl) Odde.

He was a former police officer in the Village of Blasdell and an exempt member of the Blasdell Volunteer Fire Company.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice Foundation of WNY or the American Heart Association.

Interment is in Lakeside Memorial Cemetery.

Betty L. Weaver

Word has been received of the death of Betty L. (Mecklem) Weaver, 82, of Spring Hill, Fla., formerly of Fredonia and Eden, who died on Wednesday, November 7, 2012.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, George A. Weaver; children, Raymond and Richard (Mary) Weaver; sister, Virginia Palmer; grandchildren, Melissa (Kevin) Dilley; step-grandson, Jeremy (Jennifer) Tschaepe and great-grandchildren, Jake and Alex.

She was predeceased by her parents, Roy R. and Amelia (Pickering) Mecklem.

Mrs. Weaver was a member of the North Cliff Baptist Church and had been a member of the Fredonia United Methodist Church.

Memorials may be made to HPH Hospice Foundation, 3545 North Lecanto Highway, Beverly Hills, Fla., 34465.

Burial was in Millbank Cemetery, Fredonia.

Arrangements were made through Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Fredonia.

Thomas J. Kelly

Funeral services were held on Tuesday (Nov. 20) from the John J. Kaczor Funeral Home for Thomas J. Kelly, of Hamburg, who died on Friday, November 16, 2012.

He is survived by his wife, Claudia (Feightner) Kelly; sister, Sheila A. Kelly; mother-in-law, Natalie (late John) Feightner; siblings-in-law, JoAnn (Vincent) Mendola, Paula (Timothy) Laughlin and Robert Feightner; nieces and nephews.

Mr. Kelly was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Mary Esther (Cleary) Kelly.

He was a member of AMVETS Post No. 897 and the Lakeshore Goodfellows Club.

Interment is at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Beatrice M. Knobloch

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:45 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 23 from SS. Peter & Paul Church for Beatrice M. (Koster) Knobloch, of Hamburg, who died on Thursday, November 15, 2012.

She is survived by her children, Albert C. Knobloch and Susan (John) Wlos; sister, Rita Yeager; grandchildren, Jacquelynn (Marc) Dombrowski and Joseph Wlos and great-grandchildren, Andrew, Jack and Julia Dombrowski.

Mrs. Knobloch was predeceased by her husband, Albert A. Knobloch and siblings, Alfred, Clarence and Sister Julia Agnes Koster, SSJ.

She and her husband owned and operated Knobby’s Restaurant in Cheektowaga.

Memorials may be made to OLV Homes of Charity, 780 Ridge Road, Lackawanna, NY 14218.

There is no prior visitation.

Internment is SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
