Ray Dail

Ray J. Dail, of Hamburg, died June 18.

Dail was the husband of Joyce (nee Sander) Dail; father of Jennifer Schimp and Julie (Jason) Blasz; stepfather of Carol Milholland, Patricia (Adam) Schreckengost and Kelly (Jim) Bebak; grandfather of Sabrina, Samantha, Stephani, Matthew, Alisha and Amelia; brother of Pamela Swinarski; also survived by nieces and nephews.

Betty Brown

Betty J. (nee Solly) Brown, of Hamburg and Bemus Point, 86, died June 17.

Brown was the wife of the late Howard Brown; dearest mother of David (Mary) Brown, Sandra Boteilho, Donna Browne and Edward (Ann) Brown; grandmother of Myriah (Arnaldo) Rivera-Brown, Courtnay Browne, Clare Browne, Joshua (Pamela) Brown, Jillian Brown and Nicholas Brown; great-grandmother of Leahy Rivera; and sister of the late Ethel (late Robert) Lester.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on June 26 from 4-7 p.m. at the John J. Kaczor Funeral Home and a Mass of Christian burial will take place on Friday, June 27 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Mother of Good Counsel Church. Interment followed in Holy Cross Cemetery. Roy Campbell

Roy E. Campbell, 85, of Lake View, died June 18.

Campbell was the husband of the late Dorothy (nee Hoppe) Campbell; father of Roy, Larry (Nancy), Nancy (Jack) Suto, Michael (Peggy) and Sandy (Jaye) Davis; stepfather of Laurie Depczynski (Susan Petro), Sue (David) Pawlin, Sharon (Mike) Termini and Denise (Joe) Shanahan; grandfather to five grandchildren and great-grandfather to five great-grandchildren; son of the late Ernest and Alice (nee Hallett) Campbell; brother of the late Melvin, Roger and Katherine Carrey.

Kenneth Jaromin

Kenneth R. Jaromin, 69, of Hamburg, died June 14.

Jaromin was the husband of Prudence (nee Montanari); father of Patrick (Suzy) and Christopher (Amy) Jaromin, Julie, (Joseph) Katruska and Suzanne (Scott) Kirkpatrick; brother of Gerald (Lucy) Jaromin, Charlotte (Robert) Koralewski, Deborah (Richard) Stack and the late Walter (Judy) Jaromin; also survived by 11 grandchildren.

He was a retired math teacher at Frontier Middle School.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint John Paul the II Parish on June 28 at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Christine Guziec

Christine M. Galenda-Guziec, 47, died June 22.

Galenda-Guziec was the wife of Christopher Guziec; daughter of Anna (nee Huemmer) and the late John Galenda; sister of Peter (Diane) Galenda, Joseph Galenda and Susan (Jeffrey) Guziec.

She worked as a case administrator at the United States Bankruptcy Court in Buffalo.

A funeral was held on June 26 at the John J. Kaczor Funeral Home Inc. Interment followed in Saint Vincent’s Cemetery.

Charles Mohr II

Charles F.L. Mohr II, 90, of Amherst, died June 21.

Mohr was the son of the late Charles F.L. (Ruth) Mohr. He was the father of Mark Mohr and Charles (Ruth) Mohr, III; the grandfather of Charles (Casey) Mohr and Marshall Mohr and the great-grandfather of Josephine Mohr. He was a special friend to Virginia Rowland.

He was born on Dec. 19, 1923 in Buffalo and served his country during World War II in the United States Navy. He was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary for over 30 years, as well as the American Legion. He held his private pilot’s license for more than 40 years. He also enjoyed fishing.

A memorial service will be held at the Laing Funeral Home Inc., located at 2724 W. Church St. in Eden at 7 p.m. on July 9.

Mario Mallory

Mario A. Mallory, of Derby, 41, died June 16 in Lake Shore Hospital.

Mario was the husband of Sandy Mallory; father of Kylie Mallory and Mariah White; stepson of Maria Mallory, also survived by several brothers and sisters.

A funeral was held June 18 at Addison Funeral Home, with The Rev. Donald Loos officiating.

Leah Mirusso

Leah “Flossie” (nee Stavania) Mirusso, 90, of Brant, died June 17 in the Autumn View Health Care Facility.

Mirusso was the wife of the late Anthony “Fritz” Mirusso; mother of Anthony “Magoo” (Jackie Estes) Mirusso, Rosalee “Tish” (William) Hill and the late Gary “Stroker” Mirusso; sister of the late Victoria Liebe; grandmother of William “Tater” (Jennifer), Joseph (Jennie) Hill, Nicholas and Natalie Mirusso; great-grandmother of Brady, Marlee, Veronica, Joseph, Kate and Teagan.

She was a 70-year member of the Gowanda Slovenian Club and past councilwoman and clerk for the town of Brant.

Alan Petrosky

Alan J. Petrosky, of Hamburg, died June 18.

Petrosky was the husband of Kim Petrosky; father of Alan (Meghan), Mario, Heather Petrosky, Tiffani Desormeau and Meghan (Tom) Dixon; grandfather of seven grandchildren; son of the late Adolph and Lillian “Theresa” (nee Salim) Petrosky; brother of Sharon (Ray); also survived by relatives and friends.

He was a United States Army Veteran.

Sharon Southworth

Sharon A. (nee Janik) Southworth, 53, of Derby, died June 14.

Southworth was the wife of Mark Southworth; mother of Dean and Ryan Southworth; daughter of Irene (nee Jablonski) and the late Chester Janik; sister of Richard (Linda) Janik, Daniel (Claudia) Janik, Patricia (David) Jarmuz and Christine (John) Aguglia; sister-in-law of Karen and Lori Southworth; also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was a branch administrative assistant paralegal with the office of the public defender in Buffalo.

A Mass of Christian burial was held on June 17 at Saint John Paul II Church in Lake View. A private family interment was held at Hillcrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation.

Curtis Wyman

Curtis W. Wyman, 71, of Blasdell, died June 22.

Wyman was the father of Scott (Stacey), Shawn (Cori), Timothy (Jill), Craig (Tracy) Wyman; grandfather to nine grandchildren; son of the late Curtis and Margaret (nee Emerling) Wyman; brother of Margaret Wyman and the late James Wyman; also survived by nieces and nephews.

He is a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a mechanical engineer at Gemcor in Buffalo.

Visiting hours are June 26, 4-8 p.m. at John J. Kaczor Funeral Home Inc, located at 3450 S. Park Ave. where prayers will be said Friday morning, June 27, at 10:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at Our Mother of Good Counsel Church at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
