Christina Allen of Hamburg died Sept. 13.
She was a registered nurse.
She was the wife of Jason Tracy; mother of Cooper and Haley Tracy; daughter of Barbara (Joseph Cicatello) and Kurt (Patricia) Allen; sister of Jacqueline and Michael Allen; granddaughter of Robert and the late June Klein, Harold and the late Victoria Allen.
A funeral service was held from the Hamburg United Methodist Church on Sept. 17.

John AlmendingerJohn Almendinger
John Almendinger, 85, of Eden, died on Sept. 9.
He was born on June 10, 1928 in Titusville, Pa., to the late Adrian and Alice (nee Boyle) Almendinger.
After graduating from Angola High School, he served in the United States Army until 1948. Upon his return, he married his high school sweetheart, Patricia Sherry, in January of 1951. They spent 55 years raising six children in the town of Eden. He attended University at Buffalo, The State University of New York. He built homes in the Hamburg and Angola area with his father, before beginning his career in management at the Ford Stamping Plant. After retirement, he fished and golfed in Naples, Fla.
He was a founding member of the Lakeview Baseball Association and raised funds to build the first public hardball field in Lakeview. He served on the first Immaculate Conception Home School Association Board. He was also a past member of the Immaculate Conception Church Holy Name Society. He fished on Eighteenmile Creek and camped. He planted trees at his homestead, where he watched and fed birds.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Patricia (nee Sherry) Almendinger; children, John Almendinger Jr., Julie (Carl) Allen Otis, Suzanne (David) Krycia, Lisa Almendinger Summar, Annie (Nelson) Sheehan, and Jill Ann (Peter) Brydges; siblings, Dick, Robert, Marjorie Crocoll; grandchildren Bradley Summar, Jacqueline (Gene) Partridge, Emily Allen, Gregory (Michelle) Summar, Stefany Almendinger, Eric (Margaret) Krycia, Claire Otis, Ryan Sheehan, Amelia Summar, Eden Brydges and Carl (Sarah) Otis; great-grandchildren James Otis, Emma Partridge, Owen Krycia and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Society of St. Vincent De Paul at Immaculate Conception Church or Life Transitions Center, formerly Gilda’s Club, of Buffalo.

Charles Dalrymple, 87, of Eden, died with his daughter by his side.
He was born Sept. 20, 1925 in Silver Creek. He was the son of the late Erie and Hattie Dalrymple.
He grew up on a grape farm in Silver Creek and often farmed, throughout his life.
He worked for Paige-Harms Oil Company from 1949 – 1970, then worked for the Erie County Water Authority as the senior pump operator, from 1970 – 1980.
He was the Eden highway superintendent in Eden from 1980 – 1990. He served as an Eden town councilman in the early ‘90s. He was a life member of the Eden Fire Department, serving as fire chief from 1968 – 1971, and was the Eden Fire Department president from 1977 – 1979.
He was a member of St. John’s Community Church in Eden and was also a member of the Chautauqua County Steam Association.
He was the husband of the late Rosemary (nee Abagnale) and companion of the late Ida Potupjalenko. He was the father of Bridget Benoit; grandfather Shauna Greene and brother of late Donald and Jerry.
A service was held Sept. 16 at the Laing Funeral Home Inc. in Eden.

Helene (nee Fattey) Edie, 75, of Hamburg died Sept. 14.
She was the wife of Robert Edie; mother of Robin (Debi Dinkuhn) Miller, Susan (James) Moscato, Karen (Paul) Strzelec, Deborah (John) Schumer and Matthew (late Cindy) Edie; grandmother of 11; sister of Craig (Marcia) Fattey and Linda (Michael) Smerka; also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Terrance Fedick of Angola died at home with family and friends on Sept. 11.
He was a longtime employee of the Southwestern Storage Facility.
He was the husband of Deborah (nee Grass) Fedick; father of Melanie Fedick, Kimberly Fedick, Stacy Ciccone and Sharon Kenderine; brother of the late Bruce Bettinger, the late Sandy Bettinger and Debbie Kroll; grandfather of Nichole, Joshua, Brittany, Mitchell, Nathan, Whitney, Courtney, Heather, Ashleey and Robbie; great-grandfather of Jayden, Jaden and Coltan; friend of Tom, Fran, Brian, Dennis, Bob Williams and Charzell Haromon of Florida.

Kathleen Malysza, 62, of Blasdell died Sept. 12.
She was the daughter of the late Henry and Christine (nee Michalczak) Malysza; sister of Marie (Leonard) Dziedzina, Michael (Linda) Malysza and the late Pauline Malysza; aunt of Tracy Dziedzina, Jeffrey Dziedzina, Mark Malysza, Cheryl (Brian) Liska and Thomas (Melissa) Kawa Jr.; also survived by other family members.
Visitation was held from the John J. Kaczor Funeral Home’s Blasdell/Lackawanna Chapel. A Mass of Christian burial was held from Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Paul “Willie Nelson” Michalski, 56, of Eden died Sept. 14.
He was the son of Celia (late William); husband of Robin (nee Kaplan) for 40 years; father of Marc and Jason; brother of Camille Cullen, late William, Paulette (Michael) Birch, Michael and Celeste; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He worked as a Ford Motor Company employee for 30 years. He was an outdoorsman.

Janet (nee Crowley) Nye, 85, of Hamburg died Sept. 12.
She was a former secretary for Illardo & Illardo. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and a former member of her church choir and altar and rosary society.
She was the wife of the late Donald Nye; mother of James (Mary Lou), Peggy, Bill (Judy), Kathy Lewis, Mike (Tammy) and Kevin (Sue) Nye; sister of Dorothy (Ike) Kaufman, Peggy (Norm) Walters, Denise (Edward) Barry, Judy (late Robert) Smith and the late James (Mary) Crowley; also survived by 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held from Saints Peter & Paul Church on Sept. 16. Burial in Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery.

Visitation was held from the Lakeside Memorial Funeral Home, located at 4199 Lake Shore Road in Hamburg. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated from St. Mary of the Lake Church, located at 4737 Lake Shore Road in Hamburg, at 10 a.m. on Sept. 19. Assemble at the church.
