February 16
DWI
Kevin M. Grant, 58, Duffy Drive, Tonawanda, was arrested at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16 for DWI, driving with a BAC of more than .08, leaving the scene of an accident, and backing into a parked car.
Law enforcement located Grant later in the evening and he stated, “I might have hit a parked car.”
BAC was .15, he was held for court.
Contempt Charge
Paul D. Frontuto, 40, Schenck St., North Tonawanda, was arrested on a warrant for criminal contempt at 10:45 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16.
Harassment
Leo R. Mayes, 54, Steiner Ave., Tonawanda, was arrested at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16 for harassment in the second degree. He was released on an appearance ticket.
February 17
Larceny Charge
Kaitlyn M. Haines, 19, Douglas St., Tonawanda, was picked up on a warrant for larceny at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17.
Harassment
Jessica D. Steinitz, 25, Kohler St., Tonawanda, was arrested at 1:15 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17 for harassment in the second degree after she was involved in an altercation with a male. She was held for court.
Warrant Surrender
John E. Bauer, 55, St. Florian St., Buffalo, surrendered on a warrant for criminal contempt at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17.
Trespass
Peter M. Mixon, 34, D’Angelo Drive, North Tonawanda, was arrested at 7:45 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17 for trespassing.
Mixon was observed standing behind the Washington Mills factory on East Niagara St., Tonawanda. Law enforcement felt he was intending to steal scrap metal. He was released on an appearance ticket.
February 18
Possession Charge
Christopher J. Ross, 31, Wheatfield St., North Tonawanda, was arrested at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18 for criminal possession of a controlled substance. Bail was set at $250.
February 19
Possession Charge
Christopher M. Morris, 54, Auburn Ave., Buffalo, was arrested at 12:08 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 19 for possession of marijuana, driving with an expired license, and not wearing his seat belt.
Morris was pulled over on Main Street for driving with a defective headlight. Law enforcement smelled marijuana in his vehicle and he admitted to smoking some on his way home from work. He was released on an appearance ticket.
DWI
Charles A. Pratt, 33, N. East Court, Lighthouse Point, FL, was arrested at 2:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 19 for unlawful possession of marijuana, DWI, driving with a BAC of more than .08, driving with a suspended license, and passing through a red light.
Pratt admitted to law enforcement that he had a “one-hitter” on him. A glass pipe was found in the center council of his vehicle and he failed his field tests. BAC was .12. After a DMV check, it was determined Pratt’s drivers license was suspended in both New York and Florida for failure to appear on multiple summonses.
February 20
Violation
Eric P. Considine, 24, Harvington Road, Tonawanda, was arrested at 1:40 a.m. Monday, Feb. 20 for violating a city ordinance. Bail was set at $100.
Larceny charge
William Kosztowniak, 27, Frederick Road, Tonawanda, was arrested at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20 for larceny, criminal mischief, criminal mischief in the fourth degree (destroying a cell phone while someone was attempting to call 911), and harassment in the second degree.
Michael Kosztowniak, 20, Frederick Road, Tonawanda, was also arrested, because he stomped on the cell phone after it was thrown on the floor. Both William and Michael were held for court.
Warrant Surrender
Theresa M. Needham, 31, Oliver St., North Tonawanda, surrendered on a warrant for aggravated harassment at 6:30 p.m. Monday, February 20. She was held for court.
