Sheriff's department makes third DWI arrest this year

LANCASTER- Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reported the arrest of a Town of Lancaster man for driving while intoxicated. This is the Erie County Sheriff's Office third DWI arrest in 2014.
At 2:56 a.m. Jan. 9, Deputies Russell Tyczka and George Avery responded to Clinton Street in the Town of Elma for a complaint of a vehicle off the roadway and the driver passed out inside the vehicle. Upon investigation, patrol determined that the 30-year-old driver, Lawrence Nagel, was intoxicated.
Nagel was taken into custody and transported to the Erie County Sheriff's Elma Substation where a chemical breath test was administered. The breath test revealed that Nagel's blood alcohol content was .14 percent BAC. Nagel was arrested for DWI and several other vehicle and traffic charges.
Nagel was released to a third party on uniform traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Elma Court at a future date.
