KENMORE - Kenmore Police responded to Military Road at Mang Avenue for a report of an accident involving two school buses Tuesday afternoon.
Upon arrival, patrols noted two Ken-Ton school buses were involved and found about 30 students standing in the adjacent parking lot.
The two buses involved were driven by MaryAnn Jaskulski - who had 32 students on board, and Kathleen A. Bing - whose bus was empty.
Bing was traveling Northbound on Military Road in the right lane, while Jaskulski was traveling Westbound on Mang Avenue. Jaskulski entered Military Road to turn left (south) onto Military Road and struck Bing’s bus on the right side, by the back axle causing it to crash into a building and power pole at 917 Military Road.
Kenmore Volunteer Fire Department and Town Paramedics were notified, the School Department responded and notified parents of the children with minor injuries. One traffic ticket was issued to Jaskulski for failure to yield right of way.
