Depew man charged with felony DWI

ELMA — State Police troopers based in Elma stopped a gray Dodge Dakota pickup on Transit Road in Lancaster for moving from the lane unsafely. The incident occurred at 2 a.m. on July 20.
The operator was identified as Alan Eagle, 33, of Depew. According to police, Eagle showed sign of impairment and failed field sobriety tests.
The subject was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated and supplied a voluntary breath sample for testing. The sample revealed a blood alcohol concentration level of .10 percent.
The troopers also found that Eagle had a 2005 DWI conviction from Oxnard, Calif. The subject was charged with felony DWI, due to his previous conviction, as well as other traffic violations.
Eagle was arraigned in the town of Lancaster Court and remanded to the Erie County Holding Center, pending the posting of bail.
