City of Tonawanda
Ronald L. Petrell, 19, Foissett Avenue, Cheektowaga, was arrested during a traffic stop April 30, for unlawful possession of marijuana. He was released on an appearance ticket.
Alexa R. Hertel, 19, Ashford Avenue, Town of Tonawanda, was arrested during a traffic stop on Kohler Street, May 2, for unlawful possession of marijuana and no tail lamps. She was released on an appearance ticket.
Emily L. Bonczar, 17, of Oliver Street, North Tonawanda and Joshua S. Stgeorge, 35, of Saint David’s Road, Lancaster, were both arrested last week for stealing a purse from a woman in the Tops parking lot, on Niagara Street. During an inventory check, which took place after the arrests, blank checks that belongs to one of Bonczar’s family members were found in the vehicle. Both Bonczar and Stgeorge were additionally charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree. Bonczar was charged because she alledgedly stole the checks, and Stgeorge was charged because he was in the vehicle that was associated with the crime.
The co-defendants are currently incarcerated at the Erie County Holding Center and will face a felony hearing, or grand jury in the near future.
William C. Drumm, 48, Tremont Street, North Tonawanda, surrendered on a warrant, May 3, for harassment in the second degree. His charge occurred as a result of an incident that occurred April 12.
Alicia N. Sutch, 21, Adam Street, Tonawanda, was arrested for attempted petit larceny Friday, May 3. Sutch attempted to steal rings from a family member.
Possession of a weapon
Angelo J. Dichiara, 20, Ganson Street, North Tonawanda, was arrested at an apartment building on Delaware Street, May 3, for criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of marijuana. Dichiara was in possession of an illegal knife.
Michael Morre, II, 34, Fletcher Street, Tonawanda, was arrested May 5 for criminal mischief, criminal mischief in the fourth degree, and menacing in the third degree. Moore was involved in a disturbance with a female.
Sale of drugs
Ryan M. Wiglusz, 23, was arrested April 29 for criminal sale of marijuana in the fifth degree.
John A. Scott, 22, was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana.
Timothy J. O’Connell, Jr., 25, was arrested April 29 for identity theft in the third degree; grand larceny in the fourth degree/credit card; robbery in the third degree; criminal obstruction of breathing; unauthorized use of a vehicle without the owners consent; and harassment in the second degree - physical contact.
Michael Doldan, 18, was arrested April 30 for unlawful possession of marijuana.
Joshua D. Doldan, 20, was arrested April 30 for unlawful possession of marijuana.
Stanley J. Winger, 36, was arrested April 30 for menacing in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon - intent to use.
Christopher Pozantides, 50, was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree, speeding, and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
Officer Timothy Phillips, of the Kenmore Police Department, arrested Bryan Kroon at the scene of a motor vehicle accident at the corner of Elmwood and Kenmore Avenue on May 2.
Kroon passed a red light, struck another vehicle , and then struck a light pole. He was charged with driving while intoxicated - first offense; tampering with official traffic control devices; traffic device violation - passing a red light; and aggravated DWI - BAC higher than .18. Kroon’s BAC was .26.
On May 3, Officer Jared Pierce, of the Kenmore Police Department, arrested 22-year-old Colleen T. McMillan, of Buffalo, for speeding on Delaware. She was charged with driving while intoxication - first offense; operating a motor vehicle with a BAC or .08 or more; and speeding. Her BAC was .13.
Lt. David Stapleton responded to a report of a motorist sleeping behind the wheel in a convenience store parking lot May 3.
When Stapleton arrived, he found 30-year-old William J. Murray, III, of Kenmore. Murray failed his field tests and fled the scene on foot.
He was taken into custody after a foot chase and charged with Felony DWI having previous conviction in 2004 and 2010.
He was also charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the first degree; DWI - two previous convictions designated offenses in 10 years; operating a motor vehicle as an unlicensed driver; and resisting arrest.
Mark A. Czerniejewski, Jr., 32, was arrested May 3 for criminal obstruction of breathing and assault in the third degree.
Amber R. Gulla, 33, was arrested May 3 for assault in the second degree, criminal mischief in the fourth degree, and criminal possession of a weapon with intent to use.
Justin D. Gherardi, 23, was arrested May 4 for driving while intoxicated - first offense; operating a motor vehicle without insurance; aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree; passing through a red light; and refusal to take breath test.
