Two women arrested for illegal narcotics exchange
Chandra Zittel-Tucker, 29 of Concord, and Kimberly Kloc, 28 of Elma, who have both served prison time for drug offenses, were charged with passing drugs at Erie County Family Court.

The two women, who were jailmates last spring, are both free pending further court proceedings. Last year, Zittel-Tucker served a four-month term for her arrest along with Kloc, who was doing time following an Elma business burglary.

According to the Erie County Sheriff’s office, the two women were arrested after they exchanged illegal narcotics on Tuesday, Jan. 31 in the courthouse.

Senior Detective Alan Rozansky said that, when Zittel-Tucker went to the courthouse to see her probation officer, she ran into Kloc. They were both arrested after authorities observed what they said they believed was the drug exchange.

Zittel-Tucker was charted with possession of four pills of suboxone, an opiate used in the treatment of heroin addicts, which she was not legally authorized to have. Kloc was charged with possessing cocaine.

Sheriff’s deputies called to car accident in Sardinia
Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard has reported the arrest by sheriff’s road patrols of a local resident for driving while intoxicated on Tuesday night, Feb. 7.

While on patrol in Sardinia, deputies Jordan Grabar and Don Hoelscher were called to a one-car rollover crash on Warner Gulf Road. After investigating the accident, Hoelscher arrested the driver, Luke M. Tarnacki, 21 of Sardinia and charged him with DWI, felony aggravated unlicensed operation (revoked for prior DWI - drugs arrest), imprudent speed, failure to maintain the roadway and leaving the scene of an accident.

Tarnacki was transported by ambulance to Bertrand Chaffee Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. A blood sample was secured at the hospital to determine his blood alcohol content. He was released from the hospital on appearance tickets for Sardinia Court.

Man sells alcohol to minors
The New York State Police and the New York State Liquor Authority recently conducted an enforcement detail in Cattaraugus County focusing on sale of alcoholic beverages to underage individuals.

Thirteen establishments were checked in Yorkshire, Freedom, Machias, Ellicottville, Franklinville and Little Valley.

The enforcement detail resulted in the arrest of Matthew D. Rung, 24, of Arcade for prohibited sale of alcoholic beverage.

Police said that the defendant sold beer to an 18-year-old at Weber City Deli, Weber City Plaza in Yorkshire.

Rung was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the town of Yorkshire Court.
