Town police to play town fire in a friendly game of hockey

TONAWANDA - At 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, the Town of Tonawanda Police Hockey Team will be playing a charity game against the Ellwood Fire Hockey Team at Lincoln Arena. The proceeds from the game will be donated to the children of West Webster Fireman / Webster Police Lieutenant Mike Chiapperini. Lieutenant Chiapperini was one of two firefighters killed responding to a house fire in West Webster, New York on Christmas Eve.

The hockey game is being held in conjunction with the Town of Tonawanda’s annual winter festival. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted. The Town of Tonawanda Police Club has already made a $500 donation to the cause.
