Burger Fest announces lineup

Live music will take center stage at Burger Fest 2013 from noon to 11:30 p.m. Saturday, July 20 along Main and Buffalo streets in the Village of Hamburg (Rte. 62) and in the Municipal Parking Lot. Headliners on the Hamburg Casino Main Stage will once again be Hit ‘N Run, preceded by Half a Heard, noon to 2 p.m.; Tom Stahl and the Dangerfields, 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. and Yvonne Schmidt, 5 to 7 p.m.
Main Street entertainment will include Rock ‘n Roll to the Rescue at the Key Bank Classic Car Show and Mike Margerum with the Nickel City Road Show/The Lake Shore Savings Bed Parade will also take place on Main Street following the car show. The band 23 Skidoo will stroll on Main and Buffalo streets.
The one-day festival offers something for all ages and tastes. Distinctive food offerings will be found at The Taste of Hamburg portion of the festival featuring about 20 local restaurants. Other attractions include children’s activities and inflatable rides at First Niagara Kidspace, Tween Space, an arts and crafts show and sale along Buffalo Street, the LaBatt beer tent and the Uncle Joe’s burger-eating contest.
Burgerfest celebrates Hamburg, N.Y. as the birthplace of the original hamburger in1885 at the Hamburg Fairgrounds. The annual festival is hosted on the third Saturday of July by the Rotary Club of Hamburg, the Hamburg Rotary Sunrise Club, the Town of Hamburg Lions Club and the Hamburg Kiwanis Club. Additional sponsors are: Waste Management, West Herr, Great Harvest Breads and Community Redemption Center.
