Festival of Arts to showcase Southtown's students’ creativity

Artwork by students in the Hamburg/Southtowns community ill be displayed at the ninth annual Festival of the Arts on Saturday, March 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Hub, 4999 McKinley Parkway, adjacent to the Wesleyan Church of Hamburg. Last year’s festival drew a record 4,344 attendees.
This family-oriented event showcases the artistic talents and creativity of students in grades Kindergarten through twelfth from 15 public and non-public schools. Participating will be Frontier and Hamburg Central Schools, Immaculata Academy, St. Francis High School, and Erie 2 BOCES Southside Academy.
In addition to art exhibits, the festival will feature “make and take” workshops, music by student ensembles, and poetry readings.
Donations will be accepted to benefit the Paint Box Project at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
